The Don Emcee (Gabriel Brooklyn Gans-Lethola) is rapper and poet born in Johannesburg.. After spending a lot of time in and out the country, I finally decided to come back home with the soul intent of tryna piece together my broken dreams. Price Of A Dream is a reflection of my mindset upon returning back home to Gauteng.

It’s not based entirely on that, the main concept is the Price Of A Dream. How far you’re willing to go to live that dream that’s unique to you and exists nowhere else. 
I thought about the fact that no one can put a price on a Dream. You can a price on possibly everything on earth, but you can’t put a price on a dream. It’s as priceless as love which surprisingly is one thing needed to chase your dreams. You notice yourself standing alone and sometimes the only thing keeping you from falling is the love you got for the thing you do.. whatever it be... that’s your dream.

I had quit rap, not really but I had given up.. and the minute I put the mic down I felt dead inside. It’s a feeling you only understand once you’ve passed through it. I found myself in Moms homeland Botswana, Gaborone my second home away from Gauteng and in the middle of tryna come to grips with life, I had a very strong urge to come back to Joburg where it all started and put the pieces of the puzzle back together.

I spent an evening in Marshalltown having a beer watching go the lights come on kicking it with my cousin, 2 streets down from where my parents met, and my Aunt worked. Feeling like I wouldn’t be alive if it wasn’t for Marshalltown, I love it for that. Why I mention that? Cause something as small as that is part of my dream.. someone would deem it as nothing, to me it meant the world. You can’t put a price on that. 

For real I spent years tryna wrap my head around money with my homies, money of which I never got the way I hoped and I wasn’t even going as hard as I had to. At some point I started seeing people around me and my peoples leaving this earth. It made me realize life is tooo short to spend not doing things you love. You never know when that days coming, but I’d rather go out chasing my dreams. I’m hoping you are too..

The United States Eastern Atlanic Sea Zone's (USEASZ)Abyssal Searcher, an Appalachia-class submarine carries out its standing order to eliminate any non-government settlements with extreme prejudice. Hopelessly outmatched, the entire Wrecker colony is obliterated, their cries bubbling up silently from the ocean floor.
