We’re honoured to welcome an absolute pioneer for DSS 111.
Spiral Tribe’s own 69db presents his Wave Arising LIVE set.
As a founding member of Spiral Tribe and R-Zac, and co-founder of Network 23 Recordings, 69db has been a driving force in the Hardtec and Tribe scenes since the early ’90s. His improvised live sets have pushed boundaries for over three decades.
Wave Arising, blending tribal techno with dub elements, was recently hailed by Resident Advisor as a standout performance at Dekmantel 2024.
This mix comes out of his work for the Wave Arising project he shares with dancer Kynsie. The project is aimed at returning focus to improvisation , music and movement as the main focus of our personal development in life. 

The mix is 100% improvised on the liveset and is about tuning in to our deeper selves and opening a channel within.

From last weekends gig in near Vire in Normandy  :) I like this one as it is updated hard techno with clear Chicago and Detroit influences played in a Dub Technique ( Got to respect the source ) . Worth a listen if you gat a mo.....

Noise Ctrl découvre la musique électronique lors des Rave de la fin des années 90, fasciné par les sonorités et les performances live de l'époque. Il se lance dans la production musicale avec divers projets, puis devient DJ à Lyon en 2007, donnant naissance à Noise Ctrl. 
Son univers musical, riche et varié, s'inspire de plusieurs courants emblématiques, notamment la techno de Detroit, avec ses rythmes percutants et mélodies futuristes. Il explore également les textures industrielles allemandes, créant une atmosphère sombre et immersive, ainsi que des éléments d'electronica pour des ambiances mélodiques et expérimentales. L'influence de l'ambient se manifeste par des textures éthérées, ajoutant une profondeur émotionnelle à son travail. L'œuvre de Noise Ctrl se distingue par une fusion harmonieuse de ces influences, offrant un son unique et riche en émotions.
