Original Compositions

This is our take on one of John Williams' best compositions, from the Star Wars franchise.

The Force Theme (Hooked)

This piece was originally inspired by Edgar the excitable dragon in the 2019 John Lewis Christmas advert, but after further development and orchestration, it became less thematic and took on its own narrative.

Winter Love Story

This our title theme to 'Project: Diana', an indie film concept in very early development. The recurring rhythm throughout is Morse code for D-I-A-N-A.

We absolutely love the simple but effective nature of drones. Initially inspired by Jon Hopkin's beautiful piece 'The Wider Sun', we started with a note and went with it.

Celtic Mountains

This submission for the #westworldscoringcompetition2020 is NoiseHook's interpretation of an action sequence from Season 3, Episode 5. We made use of deep bass synths with some percussive elements to underscore the tension and action unfolding on-screen.

Westworld Scoring Competition (NoiseHook's Entry)

The work of Thomas Newman hugely influences ours. From his distinctive parallel harmonies to his frequent use of soft piano, it's always consistently brilliant scoring. This piece is greatly inspired by his work on Sam Mendes' incredible film '1917'.

This is our entry into 2015's Waterloo Festival Short Film Composition Competition. Whilst we cannot upload the film itself, we were pleased with the score alone.

Matt Hayhurst & Richard Vanryne - Fare-Thee-Well

Hugely inspired by Hans Zimmer's stunning soundtracks on Christopher Nolan's films 'Inception' and 'Interstellar', this is the first track the we ever composed and produced, and it is what got us really thinking about doing this seriously. It is our rock and our foundation and we are still proud of it to this day.
