NOISE was formed in Reykjavik, Iceland in 2001 by brothers Einar Vilberg and Stefan Vilberg when they were just 16 years old. NOISE have released four records and performed numerous tours in Iceland, Europe and the U.K.
2001
After being a band for just under 3 months NOISE released their first single, Freeloader. The song shot straight to the Top 10 on local rock radio stations. A few months later NOISE released their second single, Hollow, via Rokk.is music discovery platform. The song became the most played song in the platform's history.
2002
NOISE released their new single, In Vain, and a music video followed.
2003
NOISE released their debut album, Pretty Ugly, via R&R records. The album included the singles Freeloader, Paranoid Parasite, In Vain and Hollow. The music video for Paranoid Parasite was released.
2004-2005
NOISE performed several live shows and tours. Einar Vilberg began writing the second album.
2006
The band's second album, Wicked, was released and included the singles Ride The Wave, Quiet, and Fathead. Ride The Wave entered the top charts on local rock radio stations and NOISE began touring outside of Iceland.
2007-2009
NOISE spent this time performing various tours in the U.K and Europe. 
2010-2011
DIVIDED, NOISE's third album, was released. This album included singles A Stab In The Dark, Beautiful Distraction, and Divided. A music video for A Stab In The Dark was released and the song entered the top charts on local radio stations. The album received great reviews and was listed as one of the Albums of the Year by local music critics.
 2012-2013
NOISE started promoting their album, Divided, outside of Iceland and toured the U.K and Europe. That same year A Stab In The Dark was awarded Song Of The Year in the Sunset Island Music Awards in the U.S.
2014
The band released a new single, P.U.N.K., along with a music video.
2015-2016
Echoes, the fourth NOISE album, was released. The album was recorded, mixed and mastered in HLJÓÐVERK Studios. Mark Lanegan's string quartet performed on several tracks of the album. The music video for the single, Quiet, was released.
2017-2018
NOISE did  local shows to promote their fourth record. Einar Vilberg started writing new material for the fifth album.
2019
A new single, All Those Dreams, was released along with a music video. The song was put into heavy rotation on local rock radio for several weeks. Following this the single, Lonely In You, was released on local radio. NOISE performed at Icelandic Airwaves 2019. Two new band members, guitarist Omar and drummer Helgi joined NOISE.
