Dark theme made with a hand-spllced cassette loop, modular synthesizer*, and field recordings.

The cassette loop was a happy accident: I tried recording a drone on it and the tape tension was too loose, so it didn't hold tight against the recording head. Three layers of compressors, two limiters, and three EQ passes dug out the chugging rhythm you hear throughout the piece.

*E350 and Braids through an E440 and E560, sometimes into an ErbeVerb, µVCF, Maths. Overdriven signal through a Gozinta on its way into an Azimuth.
