For this month’s epsiode of Voluminous Arts, host Gavilán Rayna Russom invites interdisciplinary artist Julia Sinelnikova aka ORACLE666 as her guest. For hour one Julia shares a lush and emotional mix of ethereal club sounds. ORACLE666 describes their approach:
"For my mixes I'm interested in how sounds relate to each other to create textures, emotions, waves and narratives. Each mix is a meditative healing journey for me to build, usually incorporating many works by friends and rearranging things a million times over. It's different from a live set -- I want to take someone on a journey through their heart and mind, pulling back and forth, instead of just building up energy. For me that involves jungle & dnb beats and ethereal trap, trip hop, a bit of techno, as well as a lot of experimental drums and glitch house... for this specific moment in time at least. Artists who inspire me in music are SOPHIE, Sasha, Actress, Juliana Huxtable, and my close collaborator Öona Dahl.”
For hour two of the show Rayna shares a booth recording of her recent genre shattering deck session at Knoxville Tennesee’s Big Ears Festival. For this very special performance Rayna touched on many connections between her musical experience and the themes and lineup of this years festival, speaking specifically to and with their ancestral lineages.

Julia Sinelnikova aka ORACLE666: Julia Sinelnikova is an interdisciplinary artist who works with holograms, performance, and digital culture. Their light installations have been exhibited internationally, and they have performed widely as The Oracle of Vector Gallery. Heavily inspired by electronic music, Sinelnikova has designed sculptural sets for performers including Lee Burridge, Machinedrum, The GZA (Wu Tang Clan), Peaches, Juliana Huxtable, and Aurora Halal. Sinelnikova is also a singer-songwriter and DJ, and in 2020 they released their debut streaming single under the pseudonym ORACLE666. In 2021 they released four music videos incorporating their installation artwork, and an EP entitled Lost Amulet.
