Remember in teen movies there was the jock, the princess, the basket case, and the nerd?
Imagine if in a process of unnatural selection the jock and the princess were wiped out, the survivors given a computer and a keytar then instructed to form a band.
The result would probably be something a lot like Noiseprint.
Based in both London and Brighton, Noiseprint is the electronic indie pop band composed of writer/vocalist Aidan Neeson and co producer, mad scientist Jamie Dale.
Old school friends Aidan and Jamie were reunited through their jobs working at a London music store. With shiny toys from wall to wall the two soon received warnings for “excessive product testing”. Despite management feeling differently about their musical exploits, Aidan’s breathy vocals and melodic synth lines seemed to work perfectly with Jamie’s drum sampling and effects mangling. Realising their newfound powers, Noiseprint was born.

A classic odd couple: Aidan‘s teens spent watching Tim Burton films, singing along to Depeche Mode and drawing in his sketch book; Jamie, obsessed with gadgets from an early age, modifying old games consoles and making guitars out of spare parts.

It is this odd pairing that has laid the groundwork for the impressive sound Noiseprint yield on their debut self titled EP.
Combining their talents with violinist Allanah Hunt, to create a sound that is both as evocative as it is novel, this release is a rich tapestry of lush production, lyrical melodies, 80's video games and film noir.
If this is a sign of things to come, Noiseprint are a welcome addition to the overcrowded mantelpiece of modern music.
