DKA Records is excited to present the second LP from Chicago's Circa Tapes, "Kolektique," his first for DKA. The solo project of Kill Memory Crash's Adam Killing, Circa Tapes explores a minimal and subliminal form of songwriting and production, blending influences from a slew of genres including post-punk, techno, EBM/industrial, and italo to create lush, driving palettes for his bleak yet catchy songs. These 10 tracks run through a wide array of moods, tempos, and themes, yet when presented together feel completely unified due to the unique sensibilities of their creator.

Circa Tapes - Adagio

We are pleased to welcome Lerosa to the Slow Motion family. The Dublin based Italian has released eclectic productions on labels such as Ostgut Ton, Uzuri, Millions Of Moments and Vakum Records which encompass all shades of italo, electro and raw, unhinged dance music.

For 'Il Nostro Tempo', his debut release on Slow Motion, Lerosa has crafted four tracks of wistful, propulsive dance music. The trance inducing chug of 'Il Nostro Tempo' and the bittersweet synths of 'La Monarca' take up side-a, a pair of contemporary club cuts oozing with emotional melodies and stripped back rhythms.

On side-b the the skittish rhythms and wobbly arpeggiator of 'Ninfa' take you through to the early hours. 'Pompeo', perhaps the most emotional of four nostalgically sad club jams works just as effectively tugging your heartstrings on the headphones early in themorning as it does in a smoky club late at night.

Past midnight. Empty streets. From an ill lit doorway a sound. A woman. Shadow. A scent. Drawn into one. Smoke and synthesizer music swirls. Bionda E Lupo. Crossing the threshold, tripping into twilight. Analogue emotion, styles twirled like garlands. Nervous shuffles and the touch of fingertips. Weaving, bodies twirl as morning shoulders into night. The realisation. The edge of eyes. Curl of lip. The click of heels with creak of floor. Feeling flows, ebbs, cascades and floods. Lipstick and heavy perfume. Two forms swimming in currents, bending to one another in the warm glow of aging speakers. Breath and pulse quicken. Electricity spiked with passion. The final embrace. Whispered promises. A kiss.

Very quickly after releasing the first Clyde Built compilation, we knew we had to do another one; the response from the artists involved and thousands who checked out the comp itself was so encouraging that we couldn't wait to do it again!

This time around we set out to replicate the high quality and diverse range of music with an entirely different cast of contributing artists and projects and we’re very excited to share the results with you.
