Morita Vargas is an argentinian producer, singer and performer of experimental- electronic music. She explores fantasy soundscapes and lyrics with no-lenguaje, working with collages of sounds creating emotional atmospheres.

She has released two albums, "8" (Hidden Harmony Recordings, Estonia) and "Mandragora" (Autogenesis, Germany).

"For this mixtape I was inspired by female, trans, non-binary Latin and South American music that I admire. Their music opens the scene for me in terms of genre because it is an eclectic selection of sounds that goes from folklore to ambient, going through the experimental, melodic, dramatic, abstract and the frenzy of the dance floor and pop feeling. A mixture of ancestral roots and the present, it is a door for the world to know who we are and what we create and produce."

This is the psalm that is traditionally sung on the 6th Sunday of Ordinary Time (year A) according to the current distribution of chants along the liturgical calendar of the Roman Catholic Mass. Edited recording at the Coagularium (Barcelona) during the reherseal in preparation for the upcoming Sunday at the Basilica of Santa Maria del Pi, where I will sing this psalm during the "Liturgy of the Word" part of the Mass.

SDSDS#3 is the third iteration of the ongoing project Sistemes Dintre de Sistemes Dintre de Sistemes (Systems Inside Systems Inside Systems) by Ex Continent, previously presented as an installation / performance at Fase (L'Hospitalet, 2019) and Stedelijk Museum (NL, 2020) as part of Sonic Acts 2020. This version of the piece was presented as a performance / action during Rarefacció, a series of events organised by Sergi Botella for Hangar.org on May 27th, 2022 at Hangar Barcelona.

From the label:

"Periodically chilled, alien frequencies freeze to hold momentary concurrences. Quickly dissipating phantom voices emerge and transform into a collage of accelerated melodies, bashed apart by vague pulses and distant percussion. Obfuscating but also very clear, this recording provides a masterful display of technique and vision, requiring the listener to revisit often in order to remember they are no longer the same."

Ex Continent — SDSDS #3 (Excerpt)

Feral Bands, by Nicolas Montgermont and Pali Meursault, uses radio waves, and the environmental and local interferences that they carry, as the only sources for a multichannel sound performance. Relying on the serendipity of electromagnetic pick-up, the resulting concert is completely different every time and in each location it is played.

The performance relies on the radical transformations of the electromagnetic landscape. While today, important parts of the spectrum are redirected toward the massive need for digital bandwidth, we focus on what as been abandoned, such as LW frequencies, which now are left almost completely open to interferences and natural radio waves.

Basée sur des enregistrements réalisés à l’intérieur des territoires d’Amanã et de Mamirauá au centre de l’Amazonie, la pièce propose des perspectives inhabituelles (en surface, sous l’eau et dans le registre des ultrasons), invitant à évoluer dans un monde singulier de vitalité et d’altérité non humaines.

Pablo Sanz est un artiste-compositeur-chercheur. Il vit entre l'Espagne et l'Irlande du Nord. Sa pratique forme une enquête sans fin sur l’acte d’écoute, avec un accent sur les limites de la perception et de l’attention, encourageant une conscience écologique sensorielle.

“Pablo Sanz livre une pièce d’une grande richesse en timbres, fréquences, dynamiques, avec un travail très fin sur les plans sonores. La première séquence, qui va guider toute l’écoute, met joliment en oeuvre la démarche d’écologie radicale développée par la philosophe Vinciane Despret : celle de nous situer face aux autres espèces animales comme des individus face à d’autres individus, de les percevoir non simplement comme des représentants de leur vaste famille, mais dans leur singularité de sujets.
