Hello Person, 

After Outer Edges we were trying to find a new direction for Noisia. This resulted in an extensive journey that took us through a lot of new ideas and music.

Although we eventually decided to stop, we are proud of the things we made along the way, and these tunes were always meant to be part of a larger whole. So before we finally close the book on Noisia, we wanted to share them with you, on one last album. Previously released or newly finished, they all represent directions we enjoyed exploring.

In the end, we didn’t manage to figure things out. But we did get closer.

I (Julien) will always remember the first time I heard "Stigma". It was at Electromind in 2008 and it was like taking a train at full speed in my face.
So having the opportunity to remix this classic tune 14 years later is like "une madeleine de Proust” for me. We didn't want to go on just an update of the track as it's already perfect, but more like rewriting everything to give heady and esoteric sensations.

(Nicolas) " Stigma " still has been one of my favorite songs . 
The first time I heard this track I couldn't believe it, I thought perfection had been reached. 
So having the opportunity to remix this monster is almost unreal for me. 
We really wanted to reappropriate the song and we hope you will like our vision. 

Quite a journey in a shamanic world, thanks to Noisia for letting us do it!

But slowly it unfolded into a song that wanted to be about letting go, about new horizons and great memories. And hints of jazzy disco, which of course as you know is a staple of the Noisia and Upbeats sound since time immemorial, umm right, please listen to our weird song.”

We had an older version that we sent out to a couple DJ, and they really digged it for a long time, but after a while we felt like it needed an update. The 4x4 drum pattern was at first just an idea to spice up the intro, but later on we decided that we liked that groove so much we wanted that vibe to continue in the drop.
