Digital Mirage is a sonic journey told in three acts. An inevitable war between humans and machines, a deep descent into the digital void, and the final evolution of artificial life into conscious beings. Throughout the album, raw drum and bass rhythms collide with fractured atmospheres and dense soundscapes, reflecting a world where identity dissolves and emotion becomes code. In this universe, the line between real and simulated breaks apart. What remains is a digital mirage, a reflection of ourselves but without a body. This is not just an album. It is a warning. An experience. A reminder that even in the noise, there is still a soul.

“This song started as a pretty angry demo called ‘Death, Rocks!’, written in the Izu Kogen studios during The Upbeats’ magnificent No Sleep Till Japan project. When we picked it up again in our studios we went on a strange tangent that initially didn’t seem to make sense. But slowly it unfolded into a song that wanted to be about letting go, about new horizons and great memories. And hints of jazzy disco, which of course as you know is a staple of the Noisia and Upbeats sound since time immemorial, umm right, please listen to our weird song.”

Noisia comprise Dutch producers Thijs, Nik and Martijn. Largely regarded as one of the most distinctive, powerful acts to emerge in bass music, their production techniques are referenced and praised across the entire electronic music scene. Their extensive body of work also includes the game Devil May Cry and the Foreign Beggars collaboration I Am Legion.

Wesley Barbosa, nome por trás do projeto Parallel, é músico (estudou desde os 8 anos de idade) e apreciador de vários gêneros musicais. Desde 2014 na cena, seus sets atravessam os estilos, do comercial ao pouco conhecido, do house aos híbridos e experimentais, tendo como proposta a quebra de conceitos e união dos estilos. Sempre buscando novas influências, tem raízes fortes no trap e no dubstep, adicionando pitadas de outras vertentes não rotuladas, porém sempre buscando as baixas frequências. Hoje trabalha, como vertentes principais em suas seleções, com o bass house limpo e grooveado e o hybrid trap agressivo e acelerado. Fora da discotecagem, já fez trabalhos de curadoria musical e em 2017 passou a ser redator em um site especializado em música eletrônica grave. Seus sets já passaram por casas como Espaço Elevate, Mono Club, Trackers e Club 33.

Wesley Barbosa, the name behind Parallel, is a musician and a lover of many genres and music styles. His sets walk through the styles, from commercial to barely known, from Pop EDM to hybrid and experimental, with the purpose of breaking concepts and joining music styles together. In an unstoppable search for new influences, he has deep roots in trap and dubstep, adding a little bit of future beats, footwork and other unlabeled styles, but always looking forward for the low frequences.
