Another 12" vinyl release on Absys Records is different, one sided, limited to 150 copies only and filled with special VIP version of Fre4knc's 'Marching Cube'. As most of our long time supporters may be aware, the original version of this stomper appeared on <a href="http://soundcloud.com/absysrecords/sets/abs12004-various-artists-1/">"Marching Cube EP"</a> that was released last Spring 2013 as ABS12004 with very positive reaction. Still rolling at least as well as the original, this massive piece is upgraded with more dancefloorkilling weapons. The depth of subbass is overwhelming, and more drum layers create a palette new rhythmical dimensions.

Murmuration Records dives into the deeper, darker edges of the D&B spectrum with a heavyweight two-tracker from Serbian producer Omneum, whose cutting-edge sound design and cerebral production style has helped earn his place amongst the greats of modern Neurofunk. 

'Consecration' is a precision-engineered weapon - razor-sharp drums, heaving sub pressure, and mechanised atmospherics all locked into a cold, relentless groove. Designed for warehouse systems and heads-down intensity.

'Ghosts' takes a more spacious, skeletal approach - stripping the elements back to their rawest form while maintaining a menacing, low-slung energy. Haunting textures, surgical edits, and an unshakable sense of tension make this a perfect B-side counterpoint.

This release solidifies Murmuration’s commitment to pushing intelligent, high-impact D&B with weight, depth, and detail.

“Sprouted and Formed” is the inaugural album from enthralling electronic duo Rawtekk. Hailing from Hamburg in Germany, Rawtekk initially caught the attention of Med School with the sublime “Snowflakes” which features on the 2011 edition of the label’s popular “New Blood” compilation series.

Rawtekk will also be a familiar name to discerning fans of techy/neuro drum & bass, having released on labels such as Subtitles and Noisia’s Division Recordings. Past collaborations include tracks with fellow Hamburg resident and close friend Phace (Neosignal).

Fast forward to 2013 and Stefan and Christine return to Med School with their first ever full-length long-player which effortlessly combines precision engineering with elegant song-writing sensibilities.

Opener “A Magnanimous Kind’s Will” is a beautiful, dreamy utterance with a distinctive take on dubstep, whilst elsewhere we have eerie, melancholy tracks such as “Anywhere” juxtaposed with introspective drum & bass cuts like “Photone Recruits” and the spaced-out beatless melodies of “Ventricle”.

Keeping us on our toes, Rawtekk really up the ante with tough, gnarly drum & bass numbers “To Be A Space Monkey” and “Monopolists And Robberies” which dominate the second half of the album with their impressive force.

“Sprouted and Formed” is a captivating story told through a range of soundscapes and emotions… profound and haunting, surreal and cinematic, brutish yet sensitive, bringing together complexity and simplicity.
