Haunted is a brooding acoustic pop song about wanting to mean more to somebody than you do. The song begins with an acoustic guitar recorded in a Boston apartment, then quickly transforms as powerful drums enter to usher in the song's chorus. Sam MacPherson's and Annamarie's production choices draw from the likes of Bon Iver and FINNEAS to create a sonic representation of the emotions the lyrics convey.
