Cable companies have been able to steer the public's eye using large television audiences, news stations, and advertisements to determine how millions of Americans perceive the world. This aspect of the industry is the largest money maker of them all for deep-pocketed individuals and businesses can pay off companies to include/not include certain stories within the media.
