Nomad Rave 4 ↝ Roujax

Agar and Nu Selva aligned the planets, on-boarded our lovely guests, and made sure everyone fastened his seatbelt. 

Around 3am they hand the control of the spaceship over to Roujax who, as always, decides to take a random route. It turned out to be a risky one ! After slowly reaching light speed, we end up in what seems to be ... a black hole? :O

Nomad Rave Invites ↝ Cordeiro

Nomad Rave now has its own sound system. 
This rave was a try out, and it turned out that we all went crazy (check background sounds). Nu Selva warmed up with groovy sounds,  the walls of our abandoned house are vibrating, it is around 2am, 2 hours Roujax is playing, and you are about to assist to a abnormal-and-pleasant roller-coaster !

It was a pleasure to welcome @slimsim0 in our last event 💓
As we met him in a random club of Lisbon, we directly understood that he will be a great pilot full of surprises. It's only 1am as the set starts, listen to the energy of the crowd pushing the walls of the abandoned house ! Aaaayayayayaaaa

Soooo, after a long pause Nomad Rave resumed operations. The context of this extract is: @federica_turrini did an amazing warmup including some flute improvisation, 2 DJs canceled last minute, and 1 got asleep at the back the van, leaving the last 2 playing b2b hours long ... until getting very high 🫠, so they woke up the sleeping DJ to regain control of the situation... kind of 😂 ... it's 3:30am, it's Nomad Rave'o clock ! enjoy the ride !!

TL;DR: 2 hours of @caterine_itself killing it at last Nomad Rave !

Playing at a rave has always been a challenge, it's like playing records on a boat floating in a stormy ocean. Anything can happen: power cutting 🪫, excited people pushing the fragile DIY dj booth 💥, cannot see the mixer because of the smoke machine ☁️, cops arrest 🚔 ... 

This time, the stars got aligned and Caterine came in ; delivering this kind of wild set full of love, that can only be heard at a Nomad Rave. Thank you again Caterine.

This sequence starts a bit before sunrise, after amazing @federica_turrini , @micaiamusic and @teo-4in set. 1 hour extract from the classic 5 to 7am Roujax mood ; just to finish with what was left from the ravers brains ! 
In the background you can listen to the crowd's noise, and even someone saying "what the fuck ?!" at some point ahah

Nomad Rave 12 ↝ Roujax

Extract of what probably is the most epic DJing experience. A rave under a bridge in Germany, in the cold winter of 2022 around the end of lockdown, with a homemade 6000 Watts sound system blasting bass. For most people this was the first serious party since a long time. This was the moment to generously share all these melodic-acid techno-secret-weapons that Roujax was digging for years, and remind us that music loves unconditionally.

How to start a rave ? We asked this question to SubHeat, he packed some records, drove straight from Lisbon to the rave, and delivered the answer. A delightful demonstration of dubby sounds going down to 20hz, an intelligent bass and melody massage. Brain, body, sound system's circuits responded positively, and got ready for a long night ! Enough talking, let's listen SubHeat mastering it !

Yung Sheriff has been contributing to the collective even before it got named Nomad Rave, and even before it arrived in Portugal. He co-organized a wild rave when we were lost somewhere around Frankfurt in Germany. Our man is an exceptional digger navigating between moods and reminds us that music can be taken very seriously, but also not: sometimes it ok to start laughing on the dancefloor because WTF this track is sick ... it sounds like a dog whispering a joke in my ear ... with proper drums, AND A BADASS BASSLINE ON TOP ! 💥 :D

You cannot force the magic, but you can gather interesting elements and put them together. 
The picture gives you a glimpse of the environment we created to try to make it happen again: a flying astronaut, alien-shaped baloons, a dirty room full of street art, shiny-but-gentle lights, a 4000 Watts Sound System ... and Lou ! He came with a crazy high-quality selecta, bomb ! 
This is a recording of the last experiment, that will stay forever in our memories.

3 years travelling by van and gathering vinyls from records shops across Europe, Nomad Rave ended up in Portgual. 

We are a group of friends organizing free parties, in the Lisbon area.

Our goal is to spread the love for electronic music, create a space where anyone can feel free, vibe with the others and the environment. 

Nomad Rave's sound is not house, not techno, not trance. Some UFO in between.

By attending our events, you will join a group trip driven by the heart, where we will take a random route, going through bright and dark spaces.
