We understand a set as a journey into the unknown. To enjoy this journey you need time, that is why we came to the conclusion of only doing extended sets of at least 3h from now on. This year I will play fewer times, but longer, and if they are all like one of the last sets I played in 2021, we will all enjoy it very much. More than 6 hours, starting at 10:30 AM, after an early morning of Meditation and Yoga in Barbarenas, an eco paradise in southern Mexico. Many things happened this day, you can hear it for yourself. This is the “Story of my life”

This culture congregates renegades with exquisite taste from all over the World creating a New one following the Light.

The Architecture, The Landscape, The Weather, The Food and The Music.. 
All of them in tune to create an Alchemy that feeds the soul.

Dancing with sandy feet, refreshing in the Turquoise colors of the sea during the day and observing the most magnificent Milky Way in front of a Fire and a Copal smoke smell at night.

This set is my tribute to the land that gave Freedom to my Soul.

" Ahoy! I'm living at the baltic sea coast in germany and since my childhood i'm playing the saxophone in several live combos. But a decade ago I also fell in love with electronic music. I like it smooth, I like it slow, I like it driving and drifting. I love to spread my vibe daytime on music festivals, sharing storytelling dj sets and of course still love jammin the saxophone with soulfoul musicians. Once in a while I combine and make live saxophone Dj sets.

Thank you for finding the latest in the In Too Deep series.  I wanted to drop a set that summed up what we have nearly all felt we have missed in 2020.  The ability to start a night out with a few chill tunes just to get us in the mood, maybe a couple of ‘pre drinks’… the anticipation of the night ahead… and then the night itself.  Funky Chap and I wanted to create a set that carried you through the journey of a great night out from beginning to end to remind us all that it won’t be long until we are able to get out there again and share a great time with friends and fresh tunes to match.
For this set you will find Funky Chap spinning the first hour in typical fashion from him.. an eclectic style that I struggle to find anyone else managing with such a cool and well, funky approach.  I’d say it’s very unique, and that’s what I love about him.  As head honcho of one of the best and most established channels out there with Sunset Grooves, it was a great honour to have him aboard for this trip.

So I play the second hour, and I’m going back to my roots with a peak time clubby sound that I wanted you to close your eyes and imagine you are there amongst it all, with the wonderful people, the lights, the bass, hands in the air.. ah, how we miss it !

From Funky Chap..   I have been a fan of John’s edits and track selection from the moment I first heard him. Therefore the moment we got together to make this in too deep mix and being in charge of starting it off, I got inspired to choose tracks that would take the dance floor on a unique musical experience. Naturally, being the founder of @sunset-grooves my track selection always varies yet has that groove that will keep driving the mix. The idea is to get the listener all warmed up so that John can take over and exhaust the listeners to a frenzy. An absolute pleasure to do this collaboration with you and share good music with those who love it.
