Wiggle

I recorded this track in one take on an Op1 Teenage Engineering synthesizer after laying down a drum groove on it's internal digital reel to reel.  I recorded the other part to the record player, side A on the Op1. After that, I played that track immediately back and recorded it into Ableton. I bounced it to a wav file without edits. The entire song is improvised for each part from start to finish in about 30 minutes. The inspiration is from the T.V. show Mr. Rogers that aired in the 80s during my childhood. I watched it often, after Sesame Street, when I was just a little boy.  The trolley scene in this show took everyone to a special make believe land.   This is my reinterpretation of the soundtrack that played when the trolley was departing into the make believe land.

I recorded thumb piano with a mic and added a few plugins from protools after some basic rhythm/wave type editing.  I used a drum sample and ran it through a dirty filter effect for the gated sound.  This is a tribute/healing song dedicated to a friend.
