Friday Island welcomes Nomad In The Dark for its second release.

The four-track ‘Chromatic’ EP lands in late June and features Gowzer and The Running Man on remix duties.

Newly minted prog house label Friday Island is back for its sophomore release with a double-header from US-based producer Nomad In The Dark, who delivers his first original production in six years. The North Carolina native burst onto the scene in 2009 when Sasha dubbed him Breakthrough DJ/Producer of the Year, and he’s since released on acclaimed labels like Armada, Global Underground, Pangea Recordings and Stripped. Now, he makes a long-awaited return with the ‘Chromatic’ EP, backed by remixes from Gowzer and The Running Man. 

Kicking oﬀ is 'Magenta 1', a deep prog set builder where atmospheric pads float above a grooving backdrop of stripped-back beats and plucky bass. 

Friday Island is a new progressive house label from Ben Edwards, aka thebassmonkey, an established writer and editor who takes inspiration from the deep, dark and hypnotic magic of the early 2000s prog era but with a futurist perspective
