It rapidly clicked and in 2019 we organized an event series at Das Werk Vienna : DRUM x NON FUNXION produced some magical clubnights! After more than 20 years in the game Albert keeps working things from different angles, lately his entrepreneurial mind and relentless creative drive led to a couple of jaw dropping AV installations performed from Amsterdam to Kyiv.

This recording is an excerpt from a set he played after I-F at Plan B Eindhoven on 26.10.2019 showcasing his brand of sophisticated Techno music.

We got to know https://soundcloud.com/reinhard-zach through a recommendation by a dear friend when we were looking for a closing DJ for one of our parties at Das Werk. The https://soundcloud.com/merkwuerdig_records resident had been praised as one of Vienna's sickest diggers by the kind of people we listen to when they talk shop. After getting in touch he packed a tremendous bag of records and undertook the long journey from his dungeon to our headquarters in order to get to know each other and get a feeling for the NF sound. Reini's commitment to go the extra mile and his one of a kind persona made us fall in love with this dinosaur.

Gurl is a Luxembourg born DJ/selector currently based in Brussels. Resident at the notorious C12 club, she constructs DJ sets like constellations, bringing together styles and genres to create a unique microcosm every time she takes to the decks. Listening to SV3N is to immerse yourself in a machine-reality, though not a dystopian one! He tells futuristic tales written in electric circuitry built with precision and running in perfection. Rarely has the purely electronic sounded so organic, hardly ever did the apparatus provide such emotive imagery.

This mix by Mélange Étrange takes us back to an earlier time in electronic music. Akim has been around the Non Funxion since the early days, mainly spinning his remarkable acid jazz / trip-hop records. For this mix he's decided to showcase more uptempo styles. His recipe : digging for the hidden gems, never feeding no Discogs sharks, and staying in touch with his roots.

Special Agent #004 : Mélange Étrange

Next up we have a real trip mixed by one of Vienna's most promising artists @Disabnormal. 

Originally from Tehran, Arman first connected with electronic music through IDM, future jazz and progressive electronics. Then came the rave-experience : his heady and psychedelic taste developed a body component, setting a blueprint for his style of playing and producing. 

Arman is also half of producer duo  @tonnovelle who over the last 2 years have been releasing some highly sought after underground gems on acclaimed labels like the Italian https://soundcloud.com/wherewemet or OSMAN from Frankfurt.
