Uzul, membre fondateur de Kaly Live Dub propose une version techno acid du morceau Bordel de rap des Mamans du Congo & Rrobin. La musique tribale africaine et la techno ont comme dénominateur commun l'état de transe. Le producteur créé un pont entre ces deux cultures en mêlant la chaleur des musiques africaines et la froideur de la techno. Ambiance dancefloor assurée.

L'année 2023 sera l'année du grand retour des Mamans du Congo & Rrobin avec un 2ème album suivi d'une tournée mondiale. Mais 2022 n'est pas en reste puisqu'une flopée d'artistes revisitent un titre du premier album des Mamans du Congo & Rrobin pour proposer un EP de remixs haut en couleurs.

As we mark the milestone of POLAAR's 10th anniversary, we are thrilled to introduce a brand new compilation that defines our sonic territories and encapsulates the essence of our exploration in sound.
Driven by the desire of independance and passion for bass-driven rhythms and experimental sounds, Flore and his mate Marc decided to start POLAAR 10 years ago, with the ambition of shaping their unique Bass music sound, far from the code initiated by the UK club scene. Since then, we've been at the forefront of a musical revolution, championing diverse artists from all over the globe and pushing the limits of genre conventions.
Territoire / definition : Expanse of land, more or less clearly delimited, which generally presents a certain unity, a particular character.
Territoires Vol3 is a compilation in which we ask to our artists to remix a tune taken from our back catalog. It is a way to pay homage to this still relevant past releases and create a bridge between our past and present. A way to showcase the depth and diversity of our own vision, without rut of styles or BPM.

Celebrating Light In The Attic's 10 year anniversary in 2012, we are releasing a series of very special colored vinyl 7"s and digital downloads. The series features contemporary artists covering a track reissued by Light In The Attic on the A-side, plus the original version on the B-side.

Second in the series we have Alex Maas of the Black Angels, Erika Wennerstrom / Jesse Ebaugh of Heartless Bastards, and Robb Kidd (under the band name Sweet Tea) covering Wendy Rene's 'After Laughter Comes Tears'. Preserving the original song's creepy organ and tortured soul, Sweet Tea adds deep dub bass and raw power. Wendy Rene's original -- beloved of Wu Tang Clan, who sampled it on 'Tearz' -- was one of a handful of timeless soul songs she recorded with The Drapels and solo for Stax before retiring prematurely to raise a family.

A side is produced by Alex Maas / Brett Orrison and recorded at Out The Woodwork Studios, Austin, TX, July 2012. B side features the original Wendy Rene version as remastered by John Baldwin for our anthology of her work, "After Laughter Comes Tears: Complete Stax & Volt Singles + Rarities 1964-1965".

A side is produced by Alex Maas / Brett Orrison and recorded at Out The Woodwork Studios, Austin, TX, July 2012. B side features the original Wendy Rene version as remastered by John Baldwin for our anthology.
