Silhouetted against the RGB pulse of the club lighting rig you see two figures in the DJ booth – one female, bouncing with effervescent energy and feeding off the buzz from the dancefloor, and one male, working the controls with the subdued calm of a Zen master. From the speakers comes the expected throb, but something is different. Rather than formulaic kick-hat-snare metronome, it is as if a widescreen switch has been flipped, the periphery of your hearing being licked with unknown sound waves that had been criminally absent from your night.

Berlin based duo Nadja Lind and Helmut Ebritsch have been crafting audio under the Klartraum banner since 2006 and co-run the much admired Lucidflow label, notching up admirers such as progressive icon Hernan Catteneo, French techno legend Laurent Garnier, figurehead of deep Seth Troxler, legendary techno outfit Slam and one of the musical directors of Fabric in the shape of Terry Francis. Such recognition does not come without merit. Nadja is a successful solo artist in her own right with an impressive catalogue to her name and a bustling globetrotting DJing schedule. Helmut is a master of production, cutting his teeth in the simple tracker tools that found their way onto the Commodore platforms in the pre-internet era, before lending his accomplished keyboard playing and mastering skills to the Klartraum pairing.

A ying and yang of personalities melts together to create the iconic Klatraum sound, dancing with Nadja’s ceaseless energy and caressing with Helmut’s measured style. The middle ground between the pair comes from a love for Metaphysical Psychology. Often producers may speak of “spirituality” in their work but how often does it translate into their music? Very little. Here, by understanding the deeper levels of psychology, Klartraum’s productions hit deeper than bedrock – the bass velvets you, the kicks push through the ribcage, the melodies lead your mind by the hand in a merry dance through wonderland.

We are kicking off the label’s 20th anniversary with a new installment of our Etui Winter Camp. The compilation includes 11 tracks by new and old artists from all over Europe.

Dresden based film sound artist Bony Stoev and Submoon open the 4th edition of Etui Winter Camp with heart warming ambient tracks.

Echo expert Monomood dives deep into an ocean of chords with his “Fall” and label mind Insect O. takes you to the mystical “Forest Of The Monkeys”. After strolling around you find yourself lost in the soundscapes of El Choop’s “Narrow Pulse” and Infinitedub’s “Pulse Storm”. Bristol meets Malta. Not enough of chords? Screaming synths wake you up in Planetary Secret 90’s techno interpretation “Offshore Platform”. It’s time to move!

Alek S is no stranger to dub techno lovers around the world. His “Cream” sounds like dancing ice crystals. Leipzig based modular techno head Markus Masuhr experiments with hypnotizing drone sounds in his “Stages Of The Ocean” and Phil Baenz delivers some analog techno for the dancefloor with his “Isslag”. Finally made of CONCRETE label heads Rebar prove with their “Morning Routine” the best thing to do in a cold winter night is to dance your shoes off in the strobe lights of a techno club.

Etui Winter Camp 4 will be available als 11 track digital edition from February 23rd 2018 and 2 parts white vinyl edition in early March 2018.

About Alek S (made of CONCRETE, Star dub):

Tell us something about yourself, and how did you get into electronic music.
Alek S: I’m a 36 years old vinyl lover from Cottbus (near Berlin) in Germany. I started
djing around 1998 to impress girls and get famous. Did not work out. To be honest I
did not really like electronic music in my earlier days I was more into punk and hip
hop/rap. All I knew about electronic music was trance but not the good. After a night
out with friends there was a party where the sound was different than what I knew.

So I started discovering, diggin and buying this music.

At the beginning, you were mostly djing. What made you decide to start

producing?

Alek S: For a record collector there is nothing bigger than having your own music on
vinyl. That’s the main reason I started. Sometime I met Andreas Pionty who I knew
thru djing. He told me that he and fumée grise are planning to run a label and they
are looking for artists so I sent them my demos and they liked it, fortunately.

How and what music you produce?

Alek S: I have a passion for melancholic melodies and stripped-down dub sounds but
it’s hard to find a label that will release these styles on one record but I know the guys
from “made of CONCRETE” for a while now and I knew they would like it.
When I’m working on tracks I mostly hear old classic rap/hip hop and also a lot of

punk and straight edge hardcore.

When you’re not djing, producing or listening to music, what do you do?
Alek S: Of course I’ve got a job; after that I’ll try to spend as much time as possible
with my lil’ son and my girlfriend. And i’m also addicted to sports. At least 3 times a

week.

Pablo Cetrini & Elvis Albarelo are an Argentinian duo of Djs/Producers who work under the pseudonym DOMA. 
They have been working together since 2015. Being connected with music since they were young,  they are able to create an interesting sound base don the mixture of the joy House music and the strength of Techno music. Therefore, they developed a really personal and unique style. 
Their main influences are Guy Gerber, Guy J, John Digweed, Joris Voorn, Solomun among others. Their music can be found in labels such as Bullfinch Records (BLR) Rule Music (ARG) Tenampa Recordings (MEX) Truesounds Music (HU) and What Happens (DK). 
They have shared line ups with great national and international artists as Alex Niggerman, Anhauser, Juan Hansen, Martin Garcia, Mariano Trocca, Simon Vuarambon in clubs such as Brandy, Jager, Pacha, Rose In Rio and others. 
Their music has had the support of Guy Mantzur, Hernan Cattaneo, Interaxxis, Joris Voorn, Nick Warren, Nick Muir and Dave Seaman, who played DOMA's music in their Podcasts and events.
