The ENDDDD OF AN ERAAA or not! It kinda feels that way, but what we can say is that recording 123 episodes to date has been an accomplishment the Non-Corporate Girls never saw happening. Hearts Converse started from a get together of like-minded individuals to a curated group of creatives that have cultivated a safe space to discuss the pitfalls and hardships that are commonly faced as creatives and how to grow pass them. She has overseen social media marketing and brand development for companies like Travel Noire, ESSENCE, and Coca Cola to name a few. We get an in depth perspective of pursuing your dreams while also caring for an ailing parent. The balance is a constant struggle but definitely possible. A picture is worth a thousand words, but so is one of our episodes. This week @The_Aya_Brand and @MissDelailaC go behind the lens with rising photographer (@mark.c)and the transparency was real. Mark is truly a storyteller with a camera as he captures layers of emotions with just a few snaps. He shared with us his journey from digital ad exec to photographer, his specializations, some key steps to breaking into the freelance world and why the hustle is real in these streets. Ayanna (@the_aya_brand) and Delaila(@missdelailac) hosted their very first LIVE episode via Instagram. It's their official kick-off to the holiday season. Welcoming it with some bubbly of course(Prosecco is the official drink of the Non-Coprorate Girls) the two chatted about what they are most grateful for and acknoledged all the goodness this year has brought them (focused on the Positives ova here). Of course there were plenty of laughs, some stuff that been weighing heavy on their hearts, as well as a reminder on the true meaning of the holiday spirit.
