Last Rose

A 20 minute live jam using a Kalimba and Korg Wavestate fed through a Looper and the Soma Cosmos with a nice reverb from the Big Sky. Its quite imperfect, so expect some clicks and thumps as I'm not used to dealing with live mic stuff just yet, but within that I quite like this jam. The kalimba scale keeps it very much in a dreamy territory, and as ever, the Mellotron sounds just have that sorrowful "times gone past" vibe.
Soma Cosmos keeps things drifty :

I leaned into the mellow and moodier qualities that using acoustic percussion seemed to suggest.

Another in the Cybernetic Audio Forms sample challenge, Every sound on this track was taken from the source sample and passed through Ableton Live stock Simpler and effects. Like the original, the track juxtaposes a euphoric rise against an image of a nightmare.
