My Neighbours Hate Me II is a follow up to my 2017 release of My Neighbours Hate Me which was a three-track EP. The EP detailed the lengths at which I would need to go to avoid run ins with my neighbours as a result to my noise-making – with each track having a post midnight and early morning time as a title.

A letter to Hugh. A tribute to the father of South African jazz.

Your dream started in the dusty streets of Witbank, a small town in Mpumalanga, and through sheer passion and determination, you changed the world with your music. In the face of adversity, where your existence as a black man was questioned everywhere you went, you remained resolute in fighting for your place in the world. Your will, passion and creative resolve inspired me as a young musician and your music will always live with me. You’ve passed on now and I cannot thank you in person, but I can thank you with the one thing I know best – music. A musical tribute to the father of South African jazz, Hugh Ramapolo Masekela.
