Erik laments

Although Winter is approaching for   many of you, in Nonstop Tango dreamland it is now summer.

 Forget the mercantile obsession of the impending pagan death and rebirth festival.

 Forget the insanity of the last gasp of English imperialist ambitions in Rochester.

 Forget the vile manipulation of the democratic system  by a corporatist funded elite from Eton college.

 Forget the wanton destruction of the world we live in for the short term profits of the petro-chemical industry.

 Savour the possibility of a better world. The witch is dead; UKIP is clinging to a fantasy that never was or will be; Cameron and co do not have to destroy everything we value to preserve their payouts from corporate sponsors. They only will if we let them.

 XMAS is a time to celebrate the death of an absurd way of life and start sharing the products of the soil we collectively own and the natural resources that are still ours.

'When I was young I struggled to understand how a nation could fall under the spell of Nazism and commit unimaginable atrocities as a consequence. How did one person manage to upend the values of an entire nation? In my lifetime only one person has had such an effect on my own nation. I know the atrocities are not comparable, but nor is the aftermath. Germany has pretty convincingly agreed amongst itself that it stuffed up back there but we sadly remain, as the baton is passed from Major to Blair to Brown to Cameron and Clegg, Thatcher's Britain'.
