In this episode of Panorama Yerevan Lucia Kagramanyan discovers Armenian restaurant music, aka Rabiz. It celebrates a subgenre of rabiz music, called "kef" - music that can be heard during armenian parties. The selection features some oldies and classics by legendary Rabiz voices as well as recordings from restaurants off cassettes found in different towns across Armenia.

A discret 7″ named ‘La Passion Du Bourdon’ been out recently, where you can find 2 modern productions accompagnied by a curious, well desired old one https://soundcloud.com/mea-late-night-rec/la-passion-du-bourdon-7vinyl . This was released anonymously by France based label ‘Late-Night Rec.’ which is soon 3 years old. Not that aged but well edgy, the desire to link dance music & obscure modern soundtracks been presented with a very tasteful and romantic way. Fleeing the random to reach the freaks is a goal for Saulk. “It will permit the necessary ascension of a world in need of light”. That’s how most of the new artists proposed on the label appeared, all claiming the madness of its broken mind. The fusion of chic’n’dark electro-funk alongside avantgarde, 90’s ambient oriented style… Is the signature of Saulk Regurk, dissolving the main element in 3 labels, both bringing different atmospheres – Mélodies Souterraines, Musiques Electroniques Actuelles & Hybride Sentimento.

Since 2009 Rearview Radio has been stuck in the midst of what's going off in Dusseldorf with his @themes-for-great-cities. A label that has consistently showcased the vibrant sound of its hometown like no other. Alongside side the label, he’s a highly talented DJ holding a long-term residency at Salon Des Amateurs.  

For the podcast, Rearview Radio conducted on a voyage through his night-time collection with a big mix up of Beleric Disco, club-ready Italo and early Pet Shop Boys.

Don’t you realise that it’s getting warmer and warmer by the minute, that DJ JA’s “Warm” EP for hundert is just the beginning of something new while things continue to heat up? Just think about hearing it on the news, that feeling of your skin crawling, shrivelling, the shrill alarm sounds ringing inside your head and you trying to keep your cool while the heat is rising. Just relax though, consider the Y2K panic – how everyone breathed a breath of relief on the 1st of January once the clock had struck midnight and everything just stayed the same. After all, that’s maybe what we really need to be doing instead: wait for things and nature and this planet to settle this on their own terms. Wasn’t it all just a hazy craze back then, and isn’t the same happening now? Aren’t we all susceptible for either apathy or paranoia, that bittersweet ambivalence also at the core of this EP, which navigates between harsh and nervous sounds, providing both heat and the (figurative and literal) chilling cool that we so desperately long for? Remember to stay calm when you can and that nature couldn’t give a fuck about whether or not we start acting only when it’s far too late; just consider your own insignificance while the melodies stretch out beyond the horizon and into the aether. May we suggest however that you wake up, take the first letter of each sentence, put them all together in order to see through the heat of the moment and the chilling anxiety in order to feel what’s true, real, and present?
