In celebration of May Day, we bring you two mixes from staunch purveyors of the folk sensibility. 

On the A side we have Shovel Dance Collective, a group of nine singers committed to celebrating the traditional musics of Britain, Ireland and beyond. Their side takes shape with sparse instrumental musings, field recordings and droned out dirges longing for the old time — all either with traditional inflection or forward thinking intention.

On the flip, Deidre AKA Even Cowgirls Get The Blues, resident folk connoisseur and stalwart of celtic and afar folk trimmings. Her mix takes you through blissful vocal yearnings, trad-folk softness and plenty, plenty of guitar string touch. 

What a treat the whole way through both sides, count your blessings and dig into a spring delight.

For this episode, I’m thrilled to welcome Brodinski, a defining figure of the French electronic scene. First known as a resident of the iconic Social Club and co-founder of the Bromance label, he has shaped an entire generation by blurring the lines between techno, rap, and experimental sounds. From Paris to Atlanta, Brodinski continues to expand his singular sonic universe, a world driven by trap energy, dark electronic textures, and a constant search for new frontiers in sound.

His mix for Bodañ is a journey between genres, a space of tension and freedom, where rhythms distort, basslines stretch, and dissonance turns into emotion. A hypnotic dive into a dense, radical, and deeply alive soundscape.
