This is my mix I played at my 1st ever set hosted by subverse events @ basement45 down in Bristol, absolutely smashed it, gassed with how I played at the event and how much the crowed loved it. But this mix I’m posting was recorded 3 months after I played so it is not a live recording. When playing this live I also had the goat Kaisan T on mic duty’s 🖤

NOORCOTICS:

NOOR: This part of the name is inspired by the Arabic name "Noor" (which is also my surname shortened) which means "light" or "brightness". It could also be interpreted as "noir" meaning "black" in French, which suggest a contrast or combination of light and dark elements.

COTICS: This suffix doesn't seem to have a direct meaning, but is a play on the word "narcotics”, which refers to drugs. It suggest something potent, addictive, or intoxicating in the context of music.

Combining these parts, NOORCOTICS can be interpreted as a juxtaposition of light and dark or as something bright and captivating with an edge or hint of intensity, similar to the effects of narcotics but in a musical context.
