Historically, the Junction series has been the perfect way for us to round up fresh faces that display a remarkable production prowess and diverse taste in their specialty. This compilation boasts elements that cater to the wider electronic audience. It's a time for us to reflect on all we've accomplished during the last few years, a time that has seen drastic change in the way music has been delivered. New artists have been added to the label, and some recognizable ones continue to act as the needle that threads our labels fabric. Venezuela-born artist Freddy Bello lands on Unnamed & Unknown with a standout debut EP - titled ‘Alexander McQueen’.

Born in Venezuela but now based in Ibiza, Freddy Bello is steadily racking up an impressive production catalogue on a wave of respectable electronic imprints. Following releases on 12+1 London, Distance Music and several others, he now makes an emphatic debut on Unnamed & Unknown with his ‘Alexander McQueen’ EP.

Kicking things off with the title cut ‘Alexander McQueen’, Bello delivers a swinging jam loaded with funky elements and catchy vocals. Bouncy beats and flagrant percussion bring movement to the mix alongside a head-turning bassline melody. The track’s vocal topline adds the finishing touches with an undeniably unique and memorable centrepiece to this peak-time heater. 

‘This One’ comes next, delivering another delightfully underground cut. Rolling drum grooves and another catchy bassline drive the track forwards through a sea of glitchy analogue percussion and gritty melodies to carve out a deepened driving dancefloor weapon.
