Summertime is "BBQ Techno" time -  for the third season already, we present a summerly selection of open air guarantor out of our repertoire, tracks from upcoming releases, as well as several exclusives for your outdoor BBQ and dancing pleasure.

From the upcoming releases, we have selected one title from the next Holtoug release called "Noisy Nights". The original was released Denmark-exclusive on the small but fine label Fake Diamond. For our release, Holtoug has developed the more clubbish "Dizzy Days" version, which we will present on this sampler. On the single which will be released in early autumn, you will also find an outstanding Kollektiv Turmstrasse remix. 
With "End" we will showcase a very talented artist from Russia called Koett. His submission is an oldschoolish UK-Breatbeat-hommage which will destroy some dancefloors for sure. On top, we are happy to announce one title from Noraj Cue's first release on Connaisseur. This gifted fellow from the Netherlands, who has already provided a title for our Livingroom Techno 3 sampler, delivers  a Connaisseur blueprint track called "Burning Eyes". Deep, touching and full of wonderful melodies.

As exclusives, we kick off the compilation straight away with a lovely indie-electronic song by Raw Verse feat. C.Layne, one the projects of Marco Effe, who will also drop a release on Connaisseur later this year. The second exclusive is the tender "I Don't Want It" by the talented danish duo Mr. Leman & Thomas Dieckmann. Next up is Terje Saether feat. Mari N Petterson from Norway with a wonderful Pop-Techno lullaby called "Good Night". As a special exclusive we are more than happy to present one of the most requested tracks from the Michael Mayer's Resident Advisor podcast from earlier this year. Jobe's "Got Me" was only available on vinyl on a very limited UK pressing so far . On BBQ Techno 3 he will hit the digital market for the first time with this stand-out tune. To round up the selection, as a closing title we chose the stirring "Overflow" by another russian fellow called Freska, guaranteeing a massive goose flesh attack.

It was my first time at Midburn and two weeks after returning home I’m still on a cloud somewhere up in the sky because of everything that happened. That has a lot to do with the amazing group of people from the Technodrome camp that took me and my beautiful wife Fre in as family, but it also has a lot to do with the set I got to play inside that same Technodrome on Thursday night.

Thanks to the great Lev Kraitman who saw me play at AfrikaBurn this year I got this chance, and together with the amazing @shira-even he trusted me enough to play the closing set after T-Puse and Deer Jade. What happened there was really something special, it felt like the perfect cocoon for almost three hours. Thank you if you were there dancing and taking the journey with me, it really means a lot that you came to show your support.

After lots of preparing hours instead of some proper sleep, Ableton said 'nope’ on one of spots of the year i was looking the most forward to. and appeared to be in a crash loop. After 20 anxious sweaty minutes i decided to plug-in my emergency usb sticks, tried to pull the switch in my head and went all in, with most of the tracks that i wanted to play but not all of them in the latest version. It was received very well. I felt so free, it made me realise that i need to rethink on how i want to play live. It must be more hands-on, less screeny and more syncing with you! Until then, expect dj sets 🙂 Hope you'll enjoy this set!

For its sixth release, Around Midnight chose to showcase the mesmerizing work of French artist Rammö. A prolific producer based in the South of France, Rammö also graced the decks of famous festivals such as Wonderfruit in Thailand, Afrikaburn or Moga Festival to name just a few. His signature sound, a trippy flow mixing only recorded sounds and acid synthesizers, is highlighted in this "Paradox Dream" E.P through 2 originals and 1 remix. "Paradox Plant" leads us to an elevation in slow motion thanks to spellbinding drums combined with distorted synthesizers and incantatory vocals. The track slowly walks us into the depths of our perceptions, where green fumes eventually transform into beautiful and rewarding visions. Meanwhile, the round signature baseline punctuated by acid drops of synthesizers slowly opens up around the vocals like flower petals : a joyful dip into the enlightening shadows of our inner self. The remix of "Pablo's Dream" by the Happy Camper Records duo Unders and Noraj Cue conveys a deep clubbing vibe through the use of stronger beats and a higher pitch coupled with playful variations on the main theme that expand the original to another dimension while preserving its dreamy and introspective purpose. I was thinking about all the long waits in line for Burning Man tickets over the years and decided to give some of you something to listen to while the walking person icon slowly makes its way across the screen holding all our hopes in its little tiny pixel hands. 

The wait time  is usually about as long as it took to get from one side of the playa to the other last year after it rained and the playa shrimp rose up to attempt to take over the world!! 

Burning Mud. Mudding man. Raining man. Remember the wild stories (all from the outside media or Diplo and Chris Rock) vs the kindness and generosity of strangers out on the playa. I hope, even if faced with adversity last year, maybe, just maybe, you also saw how wonderful people can be when called upon in a ‘crisis’. 

I was lucky enough to stay until Tuesday night and grateful to still get to play a sunrise on the Robot Heart albeit a few days later than planned. There was so much love in the air that (finally) beautiful morning. If you missed it or want to listen once more or are just bored and looking for something to distract you while waiting in line for this years tickets (I’ll be waiting too) then here’s burning man/mud/magic 2023.  Feel the love in the air and the tickle of playa shrimp on the soles of your feet.

Lee Burridge - Robot Heart - Burning Man 2023

During his latest trip to Japan, label owner Robbie Akbal fully immersed himself in Japanese culture by spending a month in Tokyo. During his stay, he had the opportunity to collaborate with some of the city's finest artists, including Reo Matsumoto, Akira Arasawa, and Mamazu.

These connections led to several studio sessions at Reo's place, resulting in the creation of "Ärcadia." This collaboration features Reo Matsumoto on the handpan, creating hypnotic melodies, Mamazu contributing quirky sounds, Akira playing melodies on various Asian instruments, and Robbie blending everything with his signature groove and tribal vision.

In addition to the original track, the remix duties were handled by the Happy Camper boys, Noraj Cue & Unders. Their remix is a masterpiece that maintains the mystic vibe and Asian feel of the original while introducing hypnotic, classy driven dance floor elements.

Slangsdorf - Taos (Noraj Cue Remix) [Inlab Recordings] (sc prelisten)

Part of "Summer Particles 2014" in July 2014, the Polish duo of Deep Fog and Cream (PL) produced a moment of magic with "Kiki". Richly layered with driving rhythm, pulsating pads and searing lead line, the track was a highlight of an exceptional compilation. Alongside the original, "Kiki" now receives two further treatments from the UK and Netherlands' finest.

A journey through trance to progressive and deep house has seen UK based Anthony Yarranton mature as both DJ and producer. His work characterised by the fundamental principles of "deep vibrating bass lines, energetic grooves and subtle melodies", Yarranton's music has found its way on to some of the most discerning labels. From Armada and Baroque to Lowbit and Dopamine, his versatility has earned him the respect and support of the DJ elite including Hernan Cattaneo, Dave Seaman and Nick Warren. A regular in the clubs of his home country, international appearances in Greece and at both John Digweed's Bedrock and Sasha's Last Night on Earth parties, have provided additional cachet.

A regular on Particles, Anthony Yarranton's rework of "Kiki" sees familiar deep rhythms married to a carefully placed stab that resonates throughout the track as hi-hat percussion brings body-shaking groove. Echoes of the original make their presence felt in a luscious breakdown, before immaculate rhythms are brought to the fore once more.

Dutch producer, Noraj Cue, has been submersed in music from a tender age as vinyl, piano and guitar played and important part in his family socialisation. Using all manner of electronic equipment and everyday utensils to satiate his musical desires, the rise of computer technology helped ease Noraj into the production scene. A half-century of production credits for fellow countryman, Paul Hazendonk's Manual Music, has paved the way for a rich and varied career as Lowbit, Balance and Tronic also feature on a high-profile list of imprints. 

2015 continues to provide multiple highlights including a remix of Logiztik Sounds, while a Proton Music career in collaboration with Paul Hazendonk has seen remixes of Silinder's and Scotty.A complimented by the original track, "Emergence". Now making his debut on Particles, the Noraj Cue remix of "Kiki" is a deft reworking of the original that blends the pulsating melodies of the original with a chunky rhythm section and immaculate additional production, creating a new motif with echoes of the original's bass pattern. The result is a clever interpretation of skill and ingenuity.

Smooth reworkings from Anthony Yarranton and Noraj Cue have ensured that Deep Fog and Cream (PL)'s "Kiki" is set to continue in full swing.

Long time resident artist Noraj Cue returns on Manual Music with his long awaited 'Drowning' single, a song that has been buzzing around the Dutch techno scene for quite some time now but never got an official release.. until now! Next to the highly hypnotic original we're happy to welcome living legend Dimitri (aka Dimitri From Amsterdam) on board for remix duties. The original of 'Drowning' has been a sure thing in his sets in the past 1+ year so when we asked him if he was up for remixing it it didn't took long for him to be on board with the plan. He keeps the dark dramatic feel of the original but adds a proper dose of melodies. To end things in style 'Manic Depression' is another dark, deep mesmerizing piece of techno music.
Noraj Cue really shows his darker (techno) side here, a side he showed us before when he released on our Stolen Moments label. Two proper bombs by this Dutch production wizard topped of by a big remix by the infamous Dimitri. What more can you ask for?
