Seasonal Shift 004 - Dycide

Our podcast series continues, this month’s story is told by Adhémar. 

Having grown up in the French countryside, Clément is a multi-disciplinary artist, establishing his universe through music and visual works.
With a particular rigor for transitions, whether in his own production or in his DJ set, his universe is built little by little, with the passing of sound transformations and the light and poetic transportation of it all. Today’s experience is a voyage into Adhémar’s world, a world where music talks. 

‘’ Music is very important, it is the art form that spreads the most: everyone listens to music. So inevitably the music feeds on difficult moments it helps people to escape or to cope with reality ’’

Born in Argentina, but living most of her life in the Canary Islands, and currently residing in the city of Barcelona, Imox entered the world of mixing during her adolescence, teaching herself, experimenting with different genres until she found her sound marked by a high mental, organic and enveloping content.
Imox is a Mayan Nahuatl, it represents the divinity or essence of the universe, the very root from which all life arises and to which it returns when it dies; and this is how her sessions unfold, an organic evolution like the very process of life. Her sound transports us to the atmospheres and natural landscapes of the island of her childhood, accompanied by hypnotic grooves, tribal elements and cosmic textures, a progressive journey through unknown dimensions with overwhelming intensity.
Imox is member of Barcelona based collective SubRadio.
Since she started to play as Imox, she has been showing her finesse in the mix and her great music selection in the main clubs of the city such as Razzmatazz, Apolo, Moog, LAUT or Red58, and this 2023 she will play at Mostra Festival.

Trip#10: MTRL

About two years ago we had our first episode of the Navigare Audio podcast and 24 chapters in we're humbled to see how it's living its own kinda life, with beautiful contributions from friends and friends to be. Such gifted artists, producers and djs who're willing to give. Thank you. 

Next up is Anomali from Gothenburg, another brilliant story teller who handcrafted this journey specifically for us this summer. He's an avid composer of brilliant mixtapes on many known channels and platform out there and it's a true pleasure  to have him onboard on our ship as well. 

"When I was first approached by Navigare Audio about possibly making a mix I felt very honoured, I’ve always thought that their concept and releases resonated with me. When I was asked if I was interested in doing a longer mix than usual, I knew this was going to to be rewarding. The mix itself was recorded at Kolgruvan, Ringön, Göteborg. ABSIS is Salva Coromina, a regular DJ on the Barcelona scene since the late 90s under the alias of mouseDown/MouseUp, was a resident DJ at The Loft and a regular at Sonar for many years. He has always been exploring the deeper face of electronic music moving from ambient to techno. We can find some of his productions on the Hivern Discs label.
