Brighton producer Peter O returns to Nordic Trax with an emotional six-track ep of sparkling deep house music. Following the recent loss of his mother the talented producer poured that energy into his craft, and the result is an uplifting and life-affirming collection of modern house music.

This is Peter O’s third release on NT, following along from Waste Not (NT119, 2022) and Colours (NT078, 2014). The Brighton producer empties the tank for this one, taking the listener on a journey with a range of influences: from afro house on Afterlife, to broken beat on The Fall, and classic 90s-inspired deep house with Legend Sound and Happiness.

House music and its forefather disco is drenched in melancholy, and this ep continues the tradition with heavy chords and emotional string arrangements that can move you – while you think AND feel. You’ve got to be down to see the light, put one foot in front of the other and keep it moving forward. Music is indeed the answer, let it be your guide in this Game Of Life.

Peter O’s label debut in 2014 is one of our favourite releases of the last decade. Mixmag called it “classic deep house, perfect for those beach house moments” and the release found widespread dj support from the likes of Maya Jane Coles, Catz ‘N Dogz, Martin Landsky, Waifs + Strays, Mark Farina & Joyce Muniz to name a few. On his second release Peter delivered a delightful ep for fans of DIY, Nuphonic and Paper Recordings, which garnered immediate support from Harri, Fish Go Deep, Nick Holder, Inland Knights, Finest Wear, Monty Luke, Nick V and Sandro Bianchi among others. From the stripped-back vibes of the title track, to the feel good vocal hook of The Last Days, the EP has a nostalgic feel without being overly sentimental. A veteran of London’s clubs and pirate radio, Peter now teaches music technology while continuing to produce and deejay. His discography includes work on Tronicsole, Nightbird Music, De La Casa, Disclosure Project Recordings, Nordic Trax and he’s collaborated with the likes of Monophunk, Asadinho, Alex Barck, Kris Wadsworth and J-Felix among others. His early work caught the attention of some notable music tastemakers including M.A.N.D.Y., Charles Webster, Lucidflow and Q Burns.

The always-funky Jon Delerious returns to Nordic Trax with a new bag of heat! On his first solo release for the label since 2021’s Can’t Hold Back, the Canadian producer digs deep with a four-track ep of future funk for the dancefloor. 

The ep opens with the bumpty, acid-funk of Virtual Love -- a delightful slab of West Coast house for fans of LawnChair Generals and Siesta Records. Next up is the breezy, summertime vibe of mid-tempo jam Soul Clap Revisted. An instant classic, lay back and let the groove do the work. 

On the title track Jon returns to his deep house roots with a dubby excursion into to the Deepest Hour. A dancefloor groover with an understated vibe – hold tight, we’re going deep! Finally on Fever Crystal, the Calgary producer gets his rave on with another trip into classic West Coast house territory – a dubbed-out journey over slammin’ beats. 

A native of Calgary, Jon Delerious is a regular on the Western Canadian music scene. His 2018 release Let’s Work [NT094] was his best-selling release on the label after 20 years on the scene! The title track reached the deep house Top 20 on Beatport and Traxsource and received widespread support from the likes of Groove Armada, Nick Warren, Kyodai, Jamie Trench, Pawas, Rob Da Bank, Kid Enigma, The Revenge, Giom and Danny Tenaglia among others. 

On top of releases for many other excellent labels, Jon’s most recent efforts for NT have included a killer collab with UK producer Finest Wear (To The Bounce, NT121) and a splendid remix for newcomer Glennny (Now You Know, NT126).

South African producer La Deep returns to Nordic Trax with Forever Young – a four-track ep of deep, melodic house focused on the dancefloor.

The young producer has once again emerged from the studio with more heat after some time at college and a few notable releases, including one for NY’s legendary Nervous Records, Hotboxed from Cape Town and the Danford EP on NT (released 2022). 

Forever Young is another step-up in production for the young South African; with soaring synth stabs and a hook that blurs the lines between deep, minimal house and big room afro tech. Dig in! 

The journey continues on Rachetouille with more of the big room action. This one attacks and releases into a beautiful piano hook before breaking down into an uplifting build – all following along a driving beat.

Met B Rubz continues the movement with a bit more of a dark and techy flavour. Finally, the release closes out with the melancholic Dear Zoe, a tune dedicated to the producer’s late girlfriend. An emotional ride to be sure and ready for the rewind. 

La Deep made his Nordic Trax debut when he was only a teenager with the critically-acclaimed Rabbit Teeth EP. It was released in the fall of 2017 to widespread support from djs and press alike, including Mixmag, Danny Tenaglia, Joris Voorn, &Me, Rob da Bank and Skream – who posted about the release: “Ridiculously good ep!” We couldn’t agree more. 

Sfiso Sizwe Khumalo aka La Deep hails from Bethal, a small town in the province of Mpumalanga, South Africa. Starting his musical journey from the age of 9 and releasing his first tracks at 16, La Deep has grown to understand music from a different perspective: he is a dj, producer, songwriter and poet who takes inspiration from the environment around him. Citing among his musical influences Mount Kimbe, Dj Koze, Jimpster, Osunlade, Powel, Andhim, Kellerkind and The Revenge, La Deep burst on the scene in 2017 and has since released a handful of projects.

Several years in the making and following an illustrious discography of solo releases, collaborations and remixes, London producer Finest Wear drops his debut album on Nordic Trax.

A New Dawn, A New Day is a deep and meditative journey into the many moods of Finest Wear. From ambient and chilled-out organic deep house, to peak-time dancefloor business, the talented producer is in top form on his full-length debut. Run it start to finish, then run it again, this is quality music for the ages.

Album highlights include the deeper vibes of Tropical Progression, I’m Gonna Love U and I See Me feat Solitude; all building to the dark & techier moments of Warriors ‘444’ Dub and System Of One – aimed squarely at the dancefloor. 

On top of more than a dozen original trax for the album, Finest Wear revisited two of his most popular songs with 2024 re-licks of both No Me No and Love Is Deep feat Anita. The latter features Anita (aka Anita G) who appeared on a few seminal UK Garage tracks from the late ‘90s. These found their way into the sets of top UKG djs – including Karl “Tuff Enuff” Brown, MJ Cole, Artful Dodger, Casper and many more.

Blurring the lines between deep house, techno and garage in his music, Finest Wear is the production moniker of London producer Cenzo Scoglio. His half-dozen releases on NT have found A-list support from the likes of Crackazat, Joris Voorn, Shur-I-Kan, Jamie Jones, DJ T, Radio Slave, Franck Roger, John Digweed, Danny Howells, and Claptone among others. Nordic Trax brings you another promising talent in Newcastle producer Cristoph. Rich with experience in deejaying and musicianship, Cristoph’s ‘Big H’ EP comes forged as an effective collection of bass-driven Deep House that’s been road tested during his sets in Ibiza and across Europe. A relative newcomer, Cristoph has already had a #1 on Defected which found its way onto Radio 1 and in Groove Armada’s season-closing set at We Love (Space). Meanwhile, longtime NT supporter Nacho Marco delivered his knock-out remix of Big H which made its world premiere at the closing of Sonar 2013 broadcast on national radio across Spain. The future looks bright for Cristoph.

Big H chugs out of the starting blocks with reverberated congas and syncopated hat sequences.Nifty melodicism and tenebrous vocal chops sit above a robust foundation as tension continues to climb to the close. Nacho Marco’s remix wades in with neatly mapped percussion ahead of some allaying synth tones and a rich bass pattern. The vocals glow through piano stabs as tension lifts and falls throughout.

VMC kicks off with palpable claps and hats swinging alongside panned vocal chops and a taught kick. A hypnotic synth sequence skewers through the mix before vocals are layered to handraising effect whilst the Dub version keeps things anchored down with a slightly more brooding atmosphere. Waal is a jackin and physical production. In a manner akin to Eats Everything, muscular bass patterns and immaculately plotted vocal shops gambol in and catch the listener off guard. Tension climbs in a stretched rise that’s guaranteed to satisfy prime time dance floors.

Blurring the lines between deep house, techno and garage in his music, Finest Wear is the production moniker of London producer Cenzo Scoglio. Los Angeles producer Charles Scott, aka Scott Findley, storms back on Nordic Trax after a 10 year hiatus with this well-rounded EP of techno-infused house gems.

Those who've been following the NT story from the beginning should remember Scott's original Deepenit EP [NT021], which was equal parts deep and tech house with DJ support from a wide variety of selectors including Marques Wyatt, H-Foundation, Terry Francis and Carl Cox to name a few.

On One Life and Mariposa Scott delves into deeper territory with two airy, relaxed, percussive tracks equally at home early in the session or late at night on discerning dancefloors. Sandwiched in between is the title track Unfunky Drummer, a driving peak-time jam with loads of bass to spare that will get the masses moving.

One of Vancouver’s best-known electronic music producers, Gavin Froome storms back after a 10 year hiatus with this diverse ep, including a pair of remixes from fellow Nordic Trax alumnus The Revenge. Froome collaborates with a couple of rising Vancouver talents on the EP: joining forces with synth-pop duo Golden Ears on the title track for a late night/early morning anthem you’ll be hearing all summer, and closing out the release with singer-songwriter Ché Aimee Dorval on the haunting, vocal-led ‘Erupt The Quietus’.

Vancouver’s Gavin Froome is one of the label’s most prolific producers, having released a half dozen singles and three full-length albums on Nordic Trax: Mobile Villager (1999), Post + Beam (2001) and Underground Heroes (2004). His releases have garnered widespread critical acclaim from Mixmag, DJ Mag, XLR8R, iDJ, Exclaim, Vice and the now-defunct Jockey Slut, Muzik and Ministry Magazine to name a few. Among dance music peers, his work has been championed by some of the biggest names in the business, with legends Andrew Weatherall, Armand Van Halen, Carl Cox and Laurent Garnier all lining-up in support, while his tracks have appeared on compilations from Nic Faniculli, David Alvarado, Djulz, Sander Kleinenberg and the iconic DJ Harvey. In recent times a newer generation has been digging into Gavin’s catalogue with Art Department and Shaun Reeves (Visionquest) championing the 2003 anthem ‘Sunsets’, which was famously featured on DJ Harvey’s hard-to-find Sonic Disco #2 (Sarcastic). Gavin continues to live and create at his home in Vancouver. In 2012 he co-directed the independent documentary Coast Modern, a beautifully-shot film that showcases the pioneers of West Coast Modernist Architecture.

Graeme Clark aka The Revenge first appeared on Nordic Trax in 2004 with fellow Glaswegian DJ Harri (Subclub) on ‘Slackjaw’ from the Many Shades of House EP (NT038). After a series of stellar releases he rose to prominence in 2010 with a string of knowledgeable productions, remixes and reworks, including the critically acclaimed long player ‘Reekin’structions’ (Z Records). He has gone on to become one of the city’s best-known exports through his own productions as well as his collaboration with Craig Smith as 6th Borough Project, releasing two albums on Delusions of Grandeur. A bountiful career has seen him release on DFA, Pokerflat, Needwant, My Favorite Robot & Dirt Crew. In 2015 he released his debut artist album on his own label Roar Groove.

Let’s Work is the sixth release from Canadian producer Jon Delerious on Nordic Trax -- and his most accomplished work to date. The five track EP bumps his signature deep, dubby and disco-influenced warehouse vibes with the title track having already found support from the likes of London house heavyweights Groove Armada.

A twenty year veteran of the Canadian scene, Jon Delerious has five previous EPs on Nordic Trax and the critically-acclaimed album 'No Warning' [2004]. Jon’s dub-influenced house for NT in the past has caught the eye of deejays and tastemakers worldwide, ending up perhaps most notably as the lead track on Lee Burridge’s Global Underground compilation. More recently he's released music for Large Music, Tilted, Lost My Dog, Soulstar, Llama Farm, and Sidetrak among others. 

Jon’s last release for NT ‘Forage EP’ [NT083] released 2015 was supported by Discobelle, Lars Behrenroth, Chris Fortier, Robbie Akbal, Claptone, Shur-I-Kan, Harri (Sub Club), Joyce Muniz, Shadow Child, Marco Carola, Droog and many more. 

A native of Calgary, the producer and deejay is a regular on the Western Canadian music scene and has been playing the infamous Shambhala Music festival since its inception.
