The song “Drag Ball — Armenia” was born from a moment in Armenian queer history that felt like a heartbeat finally being heard.

For years, Armenia’s queer community carved out joy in hidden rooms, private apartments, underground basements, and whispered parties—celebrating themselves quietly, beautifully, but always with a shadow watching. Ballroom culture had never had a home in Yerevan. Drag had never been given a real stage. And queer Armenian expression had never been given a chance to be loud.

Then Drag Ball Yerevan happened.

The organizers created something revolutionary:
a space where queer Armenians could walk, vogue, compete, shine, and finally be seen as ART.

The anthem was created to match that moment — a sound that felt like doors breaking open, like glass shattering, like heels slamming on ancient stone floors. Its beat is built on:

Dhol as the Armenian heartbeat

Electronic zurna as the ancestral scream

Vogue claps as the language of ballroom

Bass slams as the announcement: “We are here.”

Every lyric reflects the dual identity of being queer and Armenian — powerful, unbreakable, resilient. The repeated invocation:

“Stand fierce and strong like the unbreakable spirit of Armenian queer”

became the spine of the song, representing every queer Armenian who had survived, resisted, created, and continued.

The categories — Runway, Face, Realness, Lip-sync, Vogue, Fashion — were written not just as performance prompts, but as celebrations of the many ways Armenian queerness manifests itself.
Each one is a mirror showing the community that their beauty, their defiance, their softness, their strength — all of it is Armenian. All of it belongs.

The fierce version of the song was shaped like a battle cry:
a declaration that Armenian queer existence is not just valid — it is legendary.

When the track plays at the Drag Ball, it becomes more than music.
It becomes:

✨ A resurrection of voices
✨ A reclaiming of space
✨ A celebration of identity
✨ A love letter to every queer Armenian who never saw themselves reflected
✨ A new chapter in Armenian culture
✨ A legacy moment — the first ballroom anthem of Armenia
