Hey, there's sound pictures in this one! More like well timed phrases. This was fun to make too. Longest track I have worked on in a while, lots of good stuff in here to be seen and experienced.

More lo-fi soundscapes with depressing drones and some weird sounds. Also features samples from a 70's Golden Grahams commercial, if that wasn't disconcerting enough.

Fuzzy oversampling with a tape recorder and a headset mic taped to its own speaker.

Ephermal

First new song of 2014! Lately, I've been delving into more experimental IDM-ish sounds, mostly by accident since tracking a beat in audacity is hard to get right if you have no idea what its supposed to turn out like. The synth loop was derived from a quadratic function based around 333 hz, and the foresty sounds at the end are all smoke and mirrors.

Forest Trip

Real chill ambient track with some sampled crackpot pseudo science conspiracy weirdos from late night BlogTalkRadio; it was fitting for the theme I hope to achieve. The matrix is not real folks...

The External World

I started this song playing a game of Simon, (which I am terrible at), sampled it and layered it beyond recognition, making it into a noise loop with a quasi-rhythm. It builds up in noisiness then drops out to a nice vintage sounding outro melody, which due to the way everything was layered, didn't need any additional help to get the fuzzy, crackly and vintage sound I wanted. 

Sin Om

Fooling around with different degrading techniques using my casio keyboard and audacity. I'm trying to get a nice pad sound by manipulating speed and overdubbing tracks multiple times with degrading filters to get a warm, vintage tone. I sorta fixed the weird panning in the synth and beat loop (in the demo) by doubling the left channel on the right; this is what happens when an audio-out cable isn't all the way audio-in. Altogether, less noisy and random samples and more harmonics.
