This project is a reflection of that space between endings and beginnings. It’s not about a real funeral, but it feels like one—those moments where you’re letting go, but also stepping into something new, without fully knowing what that is. There’s weight in the air, like something's passing, yet there's life in every note, every word. It’s the push and pull of emotions, where you’re not just mourning loss but embracing what’s next —this one’s for you.

Burial

Definition: A rare psychological disorder where individuals believe themselves to be fragile, like glass, and at risk of shattering.

Connotation: Symbolically, this represents a state of vulnerability, the fear of breaking under pressure despite appearing whole. The illusion of fragility stands as a metaphor for internal struggles masked by external resilience.

Glass Delusion

Definition: The absence of a formal or ceremonial closure, typically seen in events like a funeral or memorial service.

Connotation: Here, 'No Service' refers both to the lack of traditional rites and to the metaphorical absence of signal or connection, emphasizing the unreal nature of the event. There is no funeral because there is no real death, only the pause for reflection in the silence of what could have been.

Definition: A psychological state where conflicting beliefs or emotions coexist, causing discomfort or tension.

Connotation: In this context, it refers to the internal struggle between recognizing a perceived loss while acknowledging that it is not real. The tension stems from mourning something still alive—a detachment from reality.

Definition: The ceremonial acknowledgment of death or loss, marked by the process of awareness, as in the wake of a passing. However, in this context, it signifies a metaphorical stirring—a conscious awakening rather than a traditional funeral event.

Connotation: The 'wake' serves as both a beginning and a revelation, representing the coffin and its contents, while simultaneously suggesting a rising from dormancy.
