NORR mix #1

In a small cabin in Västerbotten, Sweden, you can find Love Törngren producing music under the name Kaliban. Inspired by his memories of experiencing nature as a child as well as the forest raves of his youth, Kaliban has been producing electronic music for the past six years, and is now ready to make his debut after previously having only shared his music with the wildlife surrounding his cabin.

NORR gives you his first proper release, the three track EP titled Ödelast, a dynamic techno potpurri of trance inspired rhythms and jazz samples.

The second installment of our mix series comes from the very exciting artist Erik Lagerholm, also known as Skymning. The Stockholm based producer had us swaying to his excellent debut EP, Dvala, released in November of last year on Swedish label Waves. Closing track Valv was in fact used by Gidge in their latest mix for The Ransom Note.

We’re looking forward to hearing whatever comes next from Skymning, but in the meantime, we’re very happy to present this mix by him.

The new year is here, and we’re jumping right in with a new mix! This one is by us at NORR, and it’s a solemn celebration of the winter that is currently surrounding us. Northern Sweden is covered in snow, putting a silencer on all sounds and bringing with it icy cold, star lit nights. So in contrast to our previous mixes, here’s one filled with acoustic sounds for your next winter walk.
