GIOVANNI: It truly is fascinating that I am here again. It was, what, just over a year ago since I emerged from the depths of this town? Just over a year since I set off to achieve my magnum opus, gaining power unseen, only to falter? Perhaps it was longer for you, but for me, it was just one year. A year where everything changed. A year ago, a foolproof plan ended in failure. Luckily, it seems the universe itself decided to do some... Remodeling.

[Giovanni takes out two Beast Balls, and drops them to the floor. Out come the Pokémon that were formerly his Persian and Mewtwo.]

ALOLAN PERSIAN: Purrrrrrrrr...

[The feline, now with much darker fur, paces around Giovanni. The cinnabar jewel on his forehead is now replaced with a cerulean one, and his head is much rounder.]

UB-DUSK: ...

[The brute grunts. The experiment's new form is an anomaly, covered with fur, crystalline markings and cosmic patterns that resemble the embodiments of light itself. Suddenly, it is enveloped in light, as its form changes to one much leaner, sharing the same incomprehensibility.]

UB-DAWN: ...

[The creature remains silent, before returning to its Pokéball.]

GIOVANNI: These two are just the tip of the iceberg. For the last year, I thought my plans of universal domination were over. But today? Today, it's time to get back on track.
