Norwich drum & bass producer Shayper is about to premiere on underground imprint ProgRAM, with a four-track EP highlighting why his tracks have already set themselves apart on the club circuit. Known for his no-holds-barred flavors, his forthcoming ‘You’ EP sees him graduate onto the platform for 2022.

The ‘You’ EP is a crash course into the artist’s repertoire and kick starting proceedings is the intensity of the title-track’s sonics, as well as the juxtaposition of Tallulah’s vocals. Meanwhile B-Plexx joins Shayper for the crunching, chaotic patches of ‘Inhale’, followed in quick succession by the colliding percussion of ‘Back To The Flow’ and creeping grooves of ‘From Cradle to Rave’, which draws the EP to a close. So once again, it’s time to get with the ProgRAM… Continuing to innovate with the artists they introduce to an ever-growing roster.

North Base have collaborated once again with Chords for an epic, vibrant slammer, although it’s this time through imprint Viper Recordings. Featuring the stepping bass rhythms of Chords, and the driving energy which has become a characteristic of North Base’s, ‘Paradigm’ is your entree, with Ewan Sim also lending his vocals into the mix to create the perfect single to draw festival season to a close.

North Base have made their presence felt both within their hometown of Manchester, as well as further afield, meanwhile London based Chords has been a resounding figure underneath the RAM Records stamp. Likewise, the renowned Russian Dima Pulsar is just as identifiable, and with North Base presents the jumping bassline and resounding horns of ‘Jagged Edge’. Together they merge their eclectic styles and present their first selection together with Viper Recordings, a label which has spent eighteen years in the game, held strong by figurehead Futurebound.

Celebrating thirty years of RAM Records, alongside ProgRAM being a decade in the game, both imprints have helped generate a new era of artists, including names like Prestige. And using the famed russian drum & bass foundations which are renowned globally, he continues his path alongside ProgRAM after a batch of EPs on the imprint, and an addition to RAM Records RIOT EP series.

Having featured on BBC Radio 1 Dance Anthems with ‘Light It Up’ feat The Melody Men, to BBC Radio One show with their hard hitting track ‘RAW’ featuring Dynamite MC. The guys have gone on over the years to remix artists such as Craig David,Big Narstie, Ms Dynamite (OBE) Example, Benga, Skream, Laidback Luke, Sander Van Doorn, Labrinyth, The Freestyles, and more in the pipeline for 2023 and beyond.

These guys are evolving each year from strength to strength and are serious game players within the drum and bass scene.
