Releases don’t come much more special than this one. We’ve seen her develop into one of drum and bass’ top vocalists, we’ve witnessed her shell down at international festivals as a DJ, and now we’re feeling immensely proud to reveal A Little Sound’s debut EP, Breathe. As one of Born On Road’s beloved family members who has been on her own beautiful journey of growth alongside the label, this release is a real Born On Road family moment.

The EP represents A Little Sound to a tee. From flying the flag for Bristol with a Dr Meaker link up on “The Other Side”, to the bass-heavy combination with Document One on “Better Off Alone” demanding gun fingers in the rave. But it’s the dancefloor sounds of “Memories” with Gray that is particularly special for us, considering A little Sound’s journey initially launched after the two teamed up on “Fallen” in 2020.

A Little Sound has come a long way in the two years since that track – from being responsible for vocals garnering millions of streams including on “Lakota” and “Back In Time”, to performing at huge events such as Rampage Open Air, Hospitality on The Beach and Glastonbury, but there’s still so much more to come from an artist who is destined for the top.

One of the year’s most celebrated releases, fans of Viper will be eagerly awaiting Annual 2024 since last year’s massive edition. With the full compilation dropping 5th January, there will be three samplers released before the end of the year to give fans a taste of what’s to come.

The first of these three samplers features two new tracks from Cliques & Synth System. Cliques give their hit “Rave Sequence” the VIP treatment while simultaneously making their Viper debut, whilst Synth System (formerly known as High Maintenance) returns with a brand new track, “Stop & Go”.

“Rave Sequence VIP”, as the name might suggest, is a cyber-punk dystopian rave anthem that turns the original on its head. Setting the scene in a masterful way, Cliques have designed an entire escape through their sounds, transporting the listener to the future world of DnB.

On the flip side, Synth System delivers a much lighter, ethereal tune with “Stop & Go”. Elegant and fluid, Synth Systems displays his years of experience and knack for writing sing-a-long bangers with catchy vocal cuts and an electrifying drop.

With two more samplers on the way before the full compilation release, Annual 2024 is the perfect ending to another massive year for Viper, featuring all the scene’s best and brightest. Stay tuned for more soon!

Having featured on BBC Radio 1 Dance Anthems with ‘Light It Up’ feat The Melody Men, to BBC Radio One show with their hard hitting track ‘RAW’ featuring Dynamite MC. The guys have gone on over the years to remix artists such as Craig David,Big Narstie, Ms Dynamite (OBE) Example, Benga, Skream, Laidback Luke, Sander Van Doorn, Labrinyth, The Freestyles, and more in the pipeline for 2023 and beyond.

These guys are evolving each year from strength to strength and are serious game players within the drum and bass scene.
