Here it is folks - the full length version (17:34) of my track Florida 62 from way back when. My first "Orb-style" track and definitely a fave among many of my listeners. Here it is in 21st-century friendly SoundCloud format. Samples courtesy of a flat National Geographic record from 1962. Samples were VERY painfully captured and programmed into my Peavey DPM SP sampler for this track. How things have changed. These days I'd just Google the Friendship 7, locate some sounds and drag n' drop them to my project in Logic. Ah, those were the days.

Here is the original version of Kansas Kids, produced before we recorded Charlie McDonald's live guitar performance. Compared to the newer version, this track features more vocal samples and is also slightly longer. The beats and overall sound are also a little different - this version was mixed on a cheap analog desk (compared to an expensive digital desk for the newer mix).

With contributions and collaborations from a bunch of other talented musicians. For a long time Northcore was just me (Carl), and most of the stuff I wrote was techno, trance and chillout. Now it’s a broader mix of styles but it can generally be classified under “electronic”, “chill”, and “alternative”.
