I would like to share with you a recording of my performance at Gare Porto 🇵🇹 in the first week of February 2022. It was an extraordinary, magical night. Together we were able to evoke an energy that I will remember for as long as memory allows. Thank you!!!

It was pure fire, pure energy and joy. It is for moments like these - freedom and unfettered flow - I love what I do and what I give practically every moment of my "professional" life to. 

Thank you to everyone who made this possible. I bow to each and every one of you. 

I invite you to listen to a bit over two hours of music I had a pleasure to perform in Gare. During my performance I included not only new and fresh finds, but also tracks that I love and to which I return from time to time with a feeling of goosebumps on my body. Deep gratitude to the artists whose music ignites our imagination and sensitivity!

Having stacked some impressive releases for the likes of Ostgut-Ton, Mote Evolver, Nonplus, M_Rec and more, the Helsinki-based sound architect’s name has become synonymous with top-of-the-range deep and hi-impact 4x4 DJ wares. Dwelling the subliminal frontier betwixt pitch-dark ambiences, laser-precise rhythmic mastery and an ever-astoundingly minute care for sound design, Samuli’s trenchantly hypnotic style sure lacks no floor-enslaving potency as his new mix for us attests to. In 2019, Aleja Sanchez was listed by Resident Advisor as one of the biggest international exports from the Colombian techno scene.

A little over a year ago we welcomed Semantica Records owner, Svreca to London for his On the 5th Day debut and as expected, were blown away and inspired to the max, not only by his musical prowess, addictive zeal and skills behind the decks, but by his unshakeable values and rock solid vision.

Our belief in what we’re striving for with On the 5th Day was excelled to new levels thanks to our encounter and after just a few short hours hanging out in the studio, it hit us that that moment was potentially the beginning of a very exciting twist in our story.

We weren’t wrong!

Not long after that, Svreca agreed to be our resident for 2018, pledging to work with us to create three separate line-ups throughout the year, at which he would also play. So far, we’ve danced our way through an incredible night with Luigi Tozzi and Psyk back in January - absolutely one for the books - and we’ve locked July 21st in London’s techno diary with ASC and Hydrangea. Svreca’s final appearance of the year will take place in November and the night is guaranteed to be another humdinger!

1990년대 초, 일본을 강타한 새로운 사운드 - 테크노 음악은, Takaaki Itoh가 이전까지 들어보지 못했던 새로운 비트들과 함께 새로운 일본 언더그라운드 뮤직씬을 열기 시작하였다. Takaaki는 빠르게 이 새로운 사운드에 중독되기 시작하였으며, 1994년부터는 그의 고향인 북일본 지역에서 스스로 테크노 파티를 만들며 빠르게 자신의 이름을 알려나가기 시작했다. 1996년, 자신만의 사운드를 트랙으로 만들기로 결심하면서 발표한 Takaaki Itoh의 순수한 언더그라운드 테크노 음악은, 이전까지 유럽에서 들어보지 못했던 새로운 스타일의 일본 언더그라운드 테크노로 각인되기 시작하였고, 그는 곧 일본 전역과 유럽에서 큰 사랑을 받기 시작하며 가장 존경받는 일본 언더그라운드 디제이로 인식되기 시작했다. 2001년, 유럽으로 활동무대를 옮긴 Takaaki는 Berghain, Tresor와 같은 대형 테크노 클럽들과 Awakenings페스티벌 같은 무대에서 플레이하며 전 세계 프로모터들과 파티피플들의 큰 사랑을 받기 시작했다. 이후 자신의 레이블 Wols를 시작하며 한 단계 더 앞으로 나아간 Takaaki Itoh는, 현재 새로운 테크노 세대의 선두주자로서 일본과 유럽을 오가며 활발한 활동들을 보이고 있다.

Techno hit Japan hard in the early 1990s.Takaaki Itoh was quickly impressed and intrigued with this new sound. The unique style of beats revealed the gateway to a new world of underground music in Japan - something he had never heard before. 
in 1994,Takaaki began to organize his own techno parties in his home of northern Japan. By providing a fantastic lineup, his parties quickly became a success.
In 1996, having decided that it was time to start making his own tracks, His Japanese style of techno was pure, unique and underground - nothing that had been heard before in Europe. His reputation and popularity quickly spread all over the continent. He was becoming recognized as Japan's most underground and respected techno DJ. As of 2001 he was getting offers to perform at large clubs and festivals all over Europe, like awakenings,berghain,tresor. Promoters wanting him, party people loving him, Takaaki Itoh took the next step and started his own label Wols. Passion led to success and he became recognized as the top of the next generation of techno music.

One of the leading names in Paris’ contemporary scene, Zadig is one of the main forces responsible for the return of the City of Light to worldwide prominence as a centre for forward-looking techno. A participant in the ‘90s French rave scene in the hardcore and acid days, Sylvain Peltier found his true inspiration with the arrival of Mills, Surgeon, and Beltram and labels like Tresor, Lost, and Synewave and the techno that his style remains rooted in to this day. After moving to Paris in the mid-2000s, Zadig became quickly involved in the beginnings of what would become the present-day Parisian upswing, making an early release in 2006 as Day is Dying on the Rouen-based Euro Visions label. In 2009 he returned, this time as Zadig and this time to stay, quickly forging a relationship with the important Syncrophone label and distributor in Paris. 
There has not been any looking back since, and as Paris’ techno scene continues to rise from the ashes of the early 2000s to the vibrant, world-recognized heights it now occupies, Zadig has made essential contributions to this ascendancy. Starting in 2011, he launched his Construct Re-Form label, which has gone on to a residency at the legendary Rex Club and continues to debut and support bracing new French talent like Antigone, Voiski, Birth of Frequency, and Zadig himself. His own discography also continues to grow, with releases on the reknown Deeply Rooted House in 2013, the New York-based Chronicle, Children of Tomorrow, and continued support from Syncrophone, as well as compilation appearances on Tresor, Reclaim Your City, and Studio R°. As Zadig’s reputation as a leader in the French scene has spread, he has gone on to play numerous dates around Europe, with appearances in Berghain and a deepening relationship with Tresor, at both Concrete and the Weather festival in Paris, and worldwide in New York and Argentina, alongside scene-leading contemporary talent and legends like Scion, Rødhåd, Peter van Hoesen, DVS1, Inigo Kennedy, Samuli Kemppi, Jonas Kopp, Johannes Volk, Shifted, Lucy, and many more. 2015 saw the debut of his Unforeseen Alliance live collaborative project with label mates Voiski, Antigone, and Birth of Frequency, all of whom have moved on to increasing success as both Zadig and Construct Re-Form have gained recognition. 
With Paris’ resurgent club scene blossoming to worldwide attention not seen since the ‘90s, it is the dedicated efforts of those like Sylvain Peltier who have helped to bring about this revival and continue to lead it to new heights. As Zadig, as a label head, as a DJ, and as a central figure in its continued growth, he is an essential figure in its present and a leading light for its future.

Claudio PRC is an Italian deep techno specialist who takes cues from avant-garde and ambient music as well as the abyssal echoes of early hypnotic acid and dub. He’s been active as a DJ and producer since 2006 and released his records mainly on Prologue Music, Semantica Records and TGP, of which he is co-founder. From 2018 Claudio is resident DJ in one of Prague’s most valued clubs, Ankali, where he curates the Volumi Dinamici night. In 2020 he founded 012, a new platform dedicated to art and sound research.

Music is all about connections, and is at it´s most vital when it speaks to you  in a voice only you seem to hear. For Berlin-based Refracted, electronic  music, and techno in particular, is the chosen medium to find his unique  voice, to connect. And a growing number of people, wanting more from  techno than formulaic entertainment and a soundtrack to dance to, are  connecting with his particular vision and peculiar sound. This might be  because Refracted´s music feels as fundamentally human as it sounds  otherworldly. It is techno more as an idea and conduit, than as an easily labeled sound. It is dance music where layered rhythms act almost on a  neural, sub epidermal level, while moving and evolving soundscapes  acquire a tactile, understated physicality. Paramount examples of this can be  found on releases on Refracted's own Mind Express label, and on  celebrated labels like PoleGroup and Canadian ambient/deep-techno  imprint Silent Season. His path unravelling further, a mind set on favouring  unflinching quality over quantity. 
The dynamics created by this yearning to displace us from space and self,  while rooted in a elemental, naturalistic approach, which catalyzes inner self  discovery, are also at the foundation of his DJing. Spiritual, almost  meditative, his sets possess a kinetic energy as well, which is a clear  indication of a DJ who knows the fundamental role of dancing as part of the  ritual. He wants to take us somewhere, the “where” being of our own  choosing, the trail never being the most travelled.

Paula Koski has carved out a niche for herself with a multifaceted sound that ranges from ambient to experimental to richly layered, hypnotic and mental techno. Finland-born but Berlin-based Paula projects her sense of aesthetics and composition into non-verbal tensional sound creations, that are always emblazoned with a clear common thread. 

The past months Paula has been shifting her focus on the more driving style of techno, with the peak time dance floors on her mind. Paula is a resident artist and musical curator of techno collective, festival and event series @monument-podcast, and this position gives her a kaleidoscopic perspective on contemporary techno.
