Sharp techno

Our first guest on Heptaseas is NZM99, an artist emerging from the depths of the rave scene, his sound sorcery is driven by dark and acid techno, underlaid with heavy, powerful bass. His electrifying and skillful performances leave crowds spellbound. As the founder of Tjalk Records, a heartfelt tribute to the boat he resides on in Lyon, NZM 99's numerous releases on esteemed labels like Persephonic Sirens, Khoinix, and Flesh Or Die have brought him to international stages, with recent shows in Poland, Germany, and Georgia.
Inspired by legends such as Arnaud Rebotini, The Hacker, Terence Fixmer, and David Carretta, NZM 99's passion for vintage synthesizers has been the driving force behind his artistic journey. Ever since he acquired his first analog machine as a teenager, he has continuously expanded his setup, delivering powerful live performances and mesmerizing DJ sets that blend techno with EBM tones, bewitching dancefloors.

Massive demonstrations have erupted in Tbilisi and other cities as a result of election falsification by the ruling party, the suspension of EU negotiations, anti-LGBTQ+ laws, authoritarian policies, and growing allegiance to the Kremlin. These protests have been met with violent crackdowns by riot police, including brutal assaults on journalists and widespread political repression.

More than 400 people have been arrested (age 15-60). 80% of them beaten and tortured in need of hospitalization. New laws further restrict freedom of peaceful expression during protest.

Hecate Legacy is an industrial techno project by Alex Nadiradze, an artist and DJ from Tbilisi. Having earned his stripes within the esteemed halls of KHIDI,  a household name in Tbilisis’s nightlife scene, Hecate Legacy commands the attention of its audience with a haunting synthesis of rugged industrial rhythms and melancholic primordial melodies. Hecate Legacy is a member of the Persephonic Sirens family and has been released on labels such as OSM Tapes and Liber Null Berlin.

With over a dozen 12” releases on various labels as well as on his own @x-img platform, SARIN stands out as an audio/visual and electronic music performance project that hits the nail on the head. Destructive brutalism of percussion & cold synths rooted in 80's industrial while integrating modern techno elements ; sampling and media manipulation form the basis of his signature syncopated and mind altering sound.

ÆSTR, DJ et productrice basée en France, a commencé son parcours artistique en 2010, en tant qu'Yshar : danseuse professionnelle et musicienne dans des projets électro-world live. Auparavant bassiste dans un groupe de psyché-rock à Paris, elle s'est produite au Hadra Festival et a tourné à travers la France et l'Europe. 

En 2011, elle commence à produire des morceaux sous le nom d'ÆSTR, poussée par son amour pour la musique industrielle, ambient et techno. Elle les fusionne avec la psytrance pour créer des morceaux psytechno.  Elle commence le mix en 2017 dans le berceau français de la musique électronique : Grenoble. Aujourd'hui basée à Lyon, elle a établi la signature de son DJ set : une base solide en Techno industrielle, rehaussée par l'âpreté de la Noise rythmique, la Dark Techno et le groove sexy de l'EBM. Elle crée un dialogue organique, ponctué par des voix atmosphériques et des percussions métalliques. Son expérience de la danse et de la musique lui permet de créer une expérience hypnotique, surprenante et brutale. 

Jouant sur la tension et les émotions, les set d’ÆSTR sont imprégnés de révolte. Elle a partagé le line-up avec Ancient Methods, Crystal Geometry, et récemment avec The Hacker pour son événement organisé avec Legowelt.

ÆSTR, France-based DJ & Producer, began her artistic journey in 2010, as Yshar : a professional dancer and musician in electro-world live projects. Previously a bass player in a psyche-rock band in Paris, she performed for Hadra Festival and toured across France and Europe.

In 2011, she began producing tracks as ÆSTR, driven by her love for industrial, ambient and techno music. She fused it with psytrance to create psytechno tracks. She began djing in 2017 in the french cradle of electronic music : Grenoble. Now based in Lyon, she has established her DJ set signature : a strong foundation in Industrial Techno, enhanced by the harshness of rhythmic Noise, Dark Techno and the sexy groove of EBM. She creates an organic dialogue, punctuated by atmospheric vocals and metallic percussion. Her dance and music background allows her to create a mesmerizing, surprising and brutal experience. 

Playing with tension, emotions, ÆSTR’s sets are infused with revolt. She shared line-up with Ancient Methods, Crystal Geometry, and recently with The Hacker for his curated event with Legowelt.

Orphx makes a striking comeback with a six-track EP on KR3, celebrating Rich & Christie’s three-decade career bridging the industrial music and techno scenes. 

Theikos EP - spans multiple eras and moods, merging raw, ancient production methods with modern interpretations. The result is a sonic landscape that bridges pulsing club rhythms with the intense energy of extreme electronics and death industrial. The title track, "Theikos," began in 1998 and was only finalized in 2024, years of evolution shaping it into a truly formidable piece.

This 12" release stands out as a deep and fully realized body of work, filled with personal insight and resonant echoes of a primordial world.

The standard edition comes in a sleek single-pocket gatefold sleeve, featuring a 1997 photograph taken in Toronto by Michael Nine, capturing the duo in their early years and visually anchoring the album to the roots of their sound. Carmilla Sioux es una DJ y productora barcelonesa reconocida como figura clave de la escena electrónica oscura. Su sonido fusiona elementos de Wave, EBM y Techno Industrial, creando un estilo propio que ha cautivado al público underground. Con más de una década como bajista en bandas de post-punk, rápidamente se hizo conocida en la escena underground barcelonesa antes de expandir su alcance internacional.

Con su último EP, Lumina Obscura, Carmilla Sioux irrumpe en Soil Records con una propuesta sonora que explora magistralmente temas alquímicos de transformación, renacimiento y la eterna lucha entre la luz y la sombra. 

Desde 2024, dirige From Hell To Disco, una plataforma que funciona como sello discográfico y centro creativo, fusionando  la selección de podcasts  para artistas emergentes con estéticas similares y la organización de eventos en vivo. Gracias a este proyecto, se ha consolidado como una fuerza impulsora de la comunidad de música electrónica oscura de Barcelona.

Este set, titulado " A la sombra de bellos recuerdos ", es un descenso suave y controlado hacia lo visceral: un viaje sonoro que explora la pérdida a través de la profunda emoción y la honestidad. No busca respuestas, sólo transformar la ausencia en algo que se pueda sentir y bailar.
