Distilled, out July 15th on Gravitas Recordings, is a beautiful melodic track blending two amazing artists Edamame and Northern Form and their unique sound.  These artists have been making similar styles for some time now, with paths crossing multiple times through Loci Records and mutual fans.  Finally teaming up, these two created a serene track that anyone can enjoy.  This is just a sample of what will come when these two get in the studio again!

“Distilled” begins with floaty strings and melodic vocal chops, creating a meditative soundscape captivating the listener.  It slowly brings in bass and crisp drums and builds tension without overpowering the original sounds and idea, further curating this relaxing state the listener is enveloped by.  Soothing string instruments and other melodies enter the song and it unwinds as smoothly as the tension was built, truly a track that can be left on repeat for hours.

We named it 24 being there is 24 hours in an day. Everyone shares the same moment yet we all experience completely different realities.
This song is a metaphor for that. How 2 people on opposite sides of the world can do completely different things, taste different foods, be in different climates, go to different jobs. Yet, at the end of the day, Good Lee and I both sat down with the same song and created something mutual.

Emancipator - Waxin (Northern Form Remix)

Downtempo electronic favorites Koresma & Northern Form (fka Andrew Rothschild) team up on a new collaborative single. ‘Alpine’ has an organic feel to the production, focused around overlapping guitar lines, which weave around layers of synthesizers, vocal samples, and atmospheric recordings. With both artists having a background in guitar, the track stands out as having a more guitar focused quality to it than others in the genre. A hypnotic and timeless treat, ‘Alpine’ fits in nicely alongside the producers contemporaries like Emancipator, Bonobo, and Tycho.
