Nuances De Nuit returns with its second release late October, another various artist package featuring cuts from Politics Of Dancing, Akyra, Karaba and Cosmic JD & Zenta.

The Nuances De Nuit imprint was launched in July of this year with a four track VA from DJ Steaw, Armless Kid, T. Jacques and E.Wan, perfectly setting the tone for the labels aesthetic, which leans towards dusty drums, tripped-out synths and hypnotic grooves. Here the label continues this theme as it returns with four more stripped-back, dance floor focused workouts.

Politics Of Dancing’s ‘When The Morning Comes’ takes the lead on the package, an apt name to set the scenery for this 6am sunrise groove, fuelled by rising chord sequences, tension building strings and bright piano licks. Akyra’s ‘Rizla’ follows, taking things deeper courtesy of swirling ethereal pads; bubbling arpeggio swells, wandering subs and skippy, swinging percussion.

Chikyu-u Records artist Karaba steps up next with ‘Floating Mind’, fusing choppy bass hits, dubbed out chords and robust drums before Canadian artist and Hypnotic Mindscapes founder Cosmic JD joins Zenta for ‘Spencer Landoff’, an electro-tinged cut featuring fluttering electronic pulses, entrancing pads and bumpy bass hits alongside a crunchy rhythmic drive.

Munir Nadir delivers the 6th release on the 4Plae Blanc imprint. Overflowing with the fun, funk and freaky sounds that the Turin based tastemaker has become known for, the ‘Pull Yourself EP’ is a certified hip shaker - dancing shoes at the ready. 

Some of the labels comrades dish out a couple of luscious remixes on the B Side, Oshana bringing a more floaty feel to ‘Talk About Sex’, reminiscent of some sunny open airs of summers past, whilst our amigo from the Miriam camp, Benson Herbert, gets bumpy with his take on ‘Pull Yourself’.

Ed Herbst & stevn.aint.leavn - Seashell On My Ear

The fifth chapter of Threads' journey through underground club music is also the first various artist of the label. The opening track is a an acid cut with a bouncing backbeat provided by Dormald aka Omar Akhrif and Donald, owners of Big Morning Records and resident at Veniceberg. The A2 is a smoking clubbing anthem that will immediately bring you to the UK scene, home of the Italian artist Jos, who built his reputation through the years with his productions for his labels Eya / Lonewolf and his DJ set around Europe. The opening track of the B-side is the debut of Grapevibe, a collective straight out of Bologna. It's a house cut with proggy elements and a Balearic touch with a clear reference to the Italian deep house scene from the nineties. The closing track is another debut, this time is Nando aka NND. Electronic Device is your go-to track to create that special mood on the dancefloor.

Certain Circles reunited for another pool side family gathering in the form of a 6-track compilation. House and minimal sounds featured alongside club-ready tools - influenced by countless studio & record sessions. Grab that lotion and your favourite beverage, because this pool party is just about to get started. Diego Krause, Nick Beringer and Stevn.Aint.Leavn just finished mixing some Long Island Teas in the form of Club-shedding tools. Though, if you prefer bathing salt and and a cozy candle light bath, we get you - summer is over. In that case, Ed Herbst, Peer Du and Porter got you served with your favourite flavour of housy candle-scents. This compilation is a goodbye to a season dearly missed. Though, don’t get sentimental - everything comes in full circles and we’ll be seeing us again for yet another family gathering.
