During our musical voyage through the brain, we
follow the cerebral pathway along the most complex and mysterious organ of the body.  

The Prefrontal Cortex lies at the very front of the brain, and is a region of higher brain activity. It is involved in managing complex processes, such as reasoning, logic, problem solving, decision-making, memory, expression, personality and behaviour.

It also functions in the inhibition of counter-productive impulses, and allows us to exhibit proper social behaviour.

This region of the brain has dense interconnections to other areas of the brain, and has many functions, some of which are not yet fully understood.

It is generally accepted that the prefrontal cortex contributes more than any other part of the brain in making us who we are as individuals. According to this perspective, if you were to remove our prefrontal cortex, we would be ruled by our desires and impulses, lacking an ability to plan for the future or think about the consequences of our actions.

Northstar11 is the artist name of the Norwegian producer Arild Nordstrand. 

Producing ambient electronica, soundtrack music and trance.

Signed to SJE Records and Legacy of Thought

Released the first album, Fracture, in may 2013 under the label CHILLAX MUSIC.


My musical history begins at the age of 16, with learning to play the guitar. 
Played in different bands for a while, but it never came to any releases.
Other things in life came in and took over for the music, and the guitar was put to rest for a while. 
Picked it up again in 2005 with the band oddrockers, and at the same time started looking into the digital world of making music. 
The interest of producing my own music rose, and in 2012 i started an education at an university in Norway. 
Put my first track out on Soundcloud around christmas 2012, and got an album released in may 2013 under the label Chillax Music.

Soundcloud has been a great way for me to meet other producers/musicians, and to showcase my music. 
Thanks to all who follows, comments and repost my tracks. I try to listen to the music of all who follows me.
