The guest for this show, Vivian Torres-Suarez, has served as a Board member of the Home Care Association of New York State, and on the Home Care Association as member of the Executive, Policy, Education and Nominating Committees. 

She is a Fellow of the Robert Wood Johnson Nurse Executive Fellowship Program, and currently serves as the New York Chapter President for the National Association of Hispanic Nurses. 

She developed the National Association of Hispanic Nurses Mentorship Academy. The Mentorship Academy encourages and supports Hispanic Nurses as they pursue career and education advancement through a formal mentoring process.

Volunteers explain how a Caregivers Center at PBMC enables them to share information, encouragement and mutual support in a space designed for and solely-dedicated to serving their needs. It's an idea adopted from the Ken Hamilton Caregivers Center in Westchester. Plans are to expand the program for caregivers throughout the region.
