American solo act Majeure impresses with the tour-de-force 'Transmittance'. Clocking in at nearly an hour, it feels like it either speeds up time or stops it all together. This is a must for everybody who is into the epic sounds of Vangelis or the minimalism of Philip Glass!

Dutch ambient / drone legend Machinefabriek experimented with various equipment in the studio resulting in 23 minutes of pure abstraction. As if an android made a solo drum album. Really awesome!

Another epic live album from the American solo act Majeure. Contains a selection of classic Majeure tracks as played during the 2012 Solar Maximum Concert Tour. For fans of Tangerine Dream, Jan Hammer and Vangelis. This is what synthesizer heaven must sound like.

Spanish drums and sax duo Skullfuck serves a rotten plate full of hysterical sax shrieks and blunt rhythms. If you like Albatre, Dead Neanderthals and Painkiller this barabaric piece of heavy and disjointed jazz will be right up your alley. Like a hammer to the head.

NOR015 Skullfuck - Animal Desquiciado

Sprank marks the glorious return of Dutch maestro Machinefabriek to Norwegianism Records. The album is a collage made with recordings of circuit bent effects pedals and can be seen as the equivalent of a huge abstract yet detailed paiting, made with with a very tiny brush. A truly mesmerizing record.

'Soil' is the first outing of Dutch newcomers Meglamancha. Four industrial-tinged drone tracks that make you feel you're just a cog inside a very big machine. Loads to love here if you're a fan of the soundtrack works of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. An impressive debut album!

These two heavy hitters of the European improv scene should not be strangers to Norwegianism Records afficionados. 'Void Into Shape' is another convincing example of their abililty to sound extremely abstract without immediately alienating the listener. Be prepared to have your mind warped into another dimension.

NOR017 Colin Webster / Andrew Lisle - Tangent

'heaven is a place on hell' is the mind-melting debut of Spanish ensemble Forceps. Saxophone monster Polychronidis (of Skullfuck fame) mangles his saxophone and will not stop playing until you cry and Jaula's abstract noise guitar will make you get to that point quickly. 'heaven is a place on hell' is an arousing affair that is both noisy and tender. Spain is truly the place these days!

Dutch experimental duo Skymme intricately weave together vocals and percussion to create music that is both droning and percussive in nature. Their album 'Khoro' will transpose the listener to another time, thanks to the ancestral atmosphere this duo invokes. Únique and honest music that will be hard to compare to anything else.

What happens when two guys from The Netherlands tell you they want to end their label and stop releasing the music you like? You ask them if you can continue their ground-breaking work by taking over the label. And so I did!

Norwegianism Records established in 2011,  has been supporting noise, free- jazz, drone, grindcore, power-electronics and other weird stuff for the masses, and will go on releasing all of the above and even more in the future.  Some things will stay the same and other things will probably change. By bringing you the finest in experimental music I’m hoping for your continuing support, and thus securing the future of the label. Norwegianism Records isn’t done with the world yet. 

A huge thank you goes out to René and Otto for the pleasant cooperation and the crash course in label management. You guys rule!
