Dans cet album je m'exerce à adopter un positionnement musical "cool" et souhaite mettre en perspective les limites de cette 'posture', qu'on s'impose, socialement nous même, plus ou moins volontairement et que les réseaux sociaux favorisent largement. 
Posture qui, semble bien plus nous nuire que nous servir. 
"Cool is Watching You" est aussi un point de rencontre en musique entre Orwell et Huxley qui espère guérir le cool par le cool.

When I met my wife almost 25 years ago, none of my friends and relatives gave a single damn about this relationship. We were quarrelling often and got into each other's hair over every little thing.
Interestingly however, some couples, who at that time were somewhat complacent about their great harmony, are no longer together today. At some point, so much conflict dirt had accumulated under the flowery carpet, that the permanent smile turned into hostility, contempt and finally: Separation. 
My wife and I still quarrel today - although not as intensely and often as before. But then as now these sometimes painful disputes often lead to a an even deeper and more tender encounter. 
In view of this dialectic, I had the idea of naming this song, which describes our relationship, "Wild Harps".

En gros ça traite de la confusion, entre virilité et domination, largement entretenue par la publicité et par cette société du tout doit être psychanalysé vite et surtout par des incompétents,
ce qui arrange bien les affaires du monde, puisque si tu préfères déverser ta violence sur ta femme, tu ne la renverras certainement pas sur ceux qui exercent de la domination sur toi directement et qui méritent bien au minimum une version transcendée de ta violence.

Aussi la confusion est entretenue par les pouvoirs en place en prenant soin de mélanger, dans leurs imageries, les concepts de puissance a ceux de domination, deux énergies de volonté qui peuvent se ressembler mais qui n'ont pas la même essence ni la même finalité, encore une mauvaise alchimie.
Comme quand les Nazis se sont emparés du concept du sur-humain pour en atomiser la définition.

Le système étant construit sur des bases patriarcales il est plus simple d'entretenir ces tares systémiques que de les combattre.
Alors on normalise ce comportement et l'homme devient incapable de s'allier au combat féministe parce qu'il ne comprend pas que cette lutte est, dans sa finalité comme dans son essence, faite du même désir de justice qui l'anime lui, quand il cherche aussi son émancipation.

S'il s'agit d'envisager une révolution qui pourrait éviter les erreurs sanglantes du passé et reproduire la mise en place d'une nouvelle caste dominante, on peut commencer par comprendre quels sont les "privilèges" que notre place sociale nous donne et prendre la décision de les abolir par nous-même, plutôt que de nous enfermer dans nos cases victimaire à nous,
là où l'on ne comprend plus l'autre et où l'on ne se définit plus que par, et bien souvent contre, les positionnements les plus extrêmes de la case de l'autre et qui sont souvent une mauvaise compréhension des combats quels qu'ils soient, où encore une excuse pour notre fainéantise intellectuelle et notre gout pour la polémique simple et rapide mais surtout pas efficace là où le débat d'idées, sans techniques, ni artifices séduisants, serait plus utile.

On ferait mieux, tou.te.s, d'apprendre du combat des autres. C'est une erreur de n'envisager que l'extrême, celui qui synthétise trop et trop vite.
Tant qu'il reste un déséquilibre, l'équation JUSTICE ne vaut rien.
