Jungle Vines, the new jungle EP out on Equestrian Hype, is now out and available for download.  Unfortunately the track skips in a little bit late and cuts out early, due to an error in the mastering process.  But I hope you still enjoy this piece.  It's deliberately styled to be like the more melodic and experimental jungle of 4hero and A Guy Called Gerald, as well as some of the earlier Darkcore jungle.

Me and my friend Mallard Puddleduck were playing around with some disco breaks, and I decided to make this.  It's actually the first straight-up acid tune I've ever made, surprisingly.  Titled after an event in Yume Nikki.  (You should go play that game, seriously.)

Yet again, my bronyism and enthusiasm for making music have collided. I've been wanting to make this for a while, an ambient piece loosely based on Princess Luna from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (or at least, fanon depictions of her before 'Luna Eclipsed' aired). I hope this doesn't sound too 'new-age' or 'artsy fartsy', but this music is meant to feel like lying down and gazing up at the stars.

The spoken dialogue near the beginning is a bit from the fanfic 'Spark' by Avery Strange. To any bronies listening, you should definitely give it a go, or indeed anything she's written. P.S. Just in case she's reading this, thank you for letting me use it! Also, thanks to Equestria Daily for featuring this.

Moonrise over Equestria

It's been a long time since I did a remix, and I've only ever done one before. And I've wanted to do another one for a while, so here's something I knocked together for you (yes, I'm talking to you). On another note, I sure as hell hope I've done this tune justice as the original is so beautiful to me. 
UPDATE: I've added another sample to this, to make it just that little bit cooler (20% if my calculations are correct). I wanted to put it in originally but I wasn't sure if it fit at first, now I've done some tweaking and it now should appeal to my fellow Bronies. I'd say that now this tune is a somewhat abstract representation of Fluttershy's spirit, gentle and peaceful.

EXTRA UPDATE: I've taken the liberty of remastering this track. I just thought it needed it, since I think the old snare was rather poor and the bass was a bit lacking before. Said problems have been fixed now.

Autechre - Flutter (Shy remix by Nosnibormada)

Well, after weeks of tedium and hitting creative dead ends I can finally call this finished! I wanted to remix this song as soon as 'May the best pet win' aired, I still think it's the best song of season 2 (okay, in hindsight I think that the smile song was better). I hope the jazz, ambient and jungle influences rub off on more people than just me. Anyways, please listen and enjoy! 

Update: Since so many people weren't fond of the sped up vocals of this remix before I've decided to go change them with only a couple of examples (when I think they work very well) remaining. Hope this pleases your ears more than the other version!

Find a Pet (Nosnibormada Remix)

Hello again fillies and gentlecolts! This week we have another classic rip on the cards, this time a classic rave tune from back in the heydays of late '92.

And boy, was there a lot of buzz back in Tuft Lane Studios back in those days, with Cloudsdale House still remaining popular and the lunar rave movement in Canterlot quickly becoming a cultural phenomenon, we simply couldn't release tunes fast enough.

It was a good time. We'd often have ponies all over the various recording rooms and whatever desk space they could grab, setting up their Amigas, Atari STs, hoofboards, samplers and whatever else have you, all carving out a little space where they could work on their tunes with everypony else. On any given day, the main studio would have half a dozen ponies coming and going, huddled in their corners with their setup, and the floor would rapidly become a death trap of tangled patch cables and empty soda bottles.

Sure, they could have just stayed home and worked in their bedrooms like so many ponies did, but sharing the space, working together and generally keeping each other company was all part of our culture at EqH. Everypony could come in an have a go, and we'd all share our equipment. All very much in the Equestrian custom of sharing and caring! As such, there was plenty of natter and gossip. Catching the ear of intrepid newcomer and multi-genre producer Nostalgia Sound was EqH regular Dj Pon-3's story of how she met and fell in love with her wife, Octavia, and he decided he just had to do a tune about it.

And we're glad he did! Wanting to try his hoof at the new fangled lunar rave sound, but being of a rather more gentler disposition than you're typical hoofcore producer or lunar raver, the resulting track came out more tuneful and euphoric than what the canterlot massiv' were usually bouncing their horns to, something a bit more like the house tunes we'd normally do in Cloudsdale. And as such, some ponies pinpoint this as one of the first "Celestial Rave" tracks, which took the sound and the culture along with it in a more mellow and friendly direction. Some ponies were just sick of all the rawcus and wanted to prove that having a good time and enjoying good dance tunes didn't mean you had to be so irresponsible and "more hardcore than thou". I always did approve of this change, myself. It felt a lot more Equestiran, and their motto of "Love and Tolerance" really sums up what I feel our nation should be about.

Whatever it fits into, this is a capital tune that sold copies on both the celestial and lunar side of things, thanks to the darker, less tuneful dub version of the b-side keeping things harder for the die hard lunars.

OOC: I decided to start this tune to make a tribute to CoffeeGrunt's magnificent fanfic 'Allegrezza'. I only really got stuff done however when I came into contact with Mallard Puddleduck and his label 'Equestrian Hype'. I decided to make this tune for the label, and voila! It was soon complete! 

Oh, and by the way, 'Nostalgia Sound' is the name I've decided to adopt for my ponysona. It's probably gonna be the name I'll be credited with for this fine label. Thanks to Equestria Daily for featuring this and extra thanks to Mallard for writing the marvellous description above!

Bonus info: I actually think this tune sounds better if you slow it down by 10%. Just saying ;)
