Joachim Nordwall (E200; 2015)

This mix was assembled between the months of July and December of 2015 in Barcelona and while traveling through Berlin, Sweden and Belgium. It was composed by manipulating sound material on magnetic tape and computer. The audio materials have been submitted by close friends and artists, taken from Youtube, or scrapped from the bottom of my computer's hard-drive.
Some sounds from 80's family home videos were included. It also includes sound interludes of my own.

The ninth iDEAL MiXTAPE is by the Dutch electro producer EKMAN. We first came across his work through our friends over at the BELÄTEN hq's. What we then discovered was EKMAN's great, dark, deep, minimal electro that breathes, at the same time, something new and something deeply old school. So, we invited him to make a mixtape and a release for iDEAL. The mixtape is here and the release is to come later this year hopefully. Open your mind. 14 tracks of excellence brilliantly mixed by EKMAN. Something is definately on fire in Holland.
